Connector
A connector comprises a housing including an upper casing defining an aperture through which a wire is adapted to extend, and a lower casing defining a chamber receiving the upper casing. The chamber defines an opening that opens toward the upper casing. The upper casing is movable relative to the lower casing upon the exerting of a force on the upper casing such that the aperture and the opening at least partially overlap. A conductive terminal is disposed in the chamber of the lower casing and is adapted to tear an outer insulation of the wire arranged within the chamber to electrically connect to a conductor of the wire as the upper casing is moved toward the lower casing.

Insulation Displacement Connector with Modular Structure for Fast IDC Connection
An insulation displacement contact (IDC) cluster includes a plurality of IDC cluster modular units each having a plurality of receptacles adjacent to one another in a row. Each of the receptacles receives an IDC terminal. A first IDC cluster modular unit of the IDC cluster modular units is coupled to a second IDC cluster modular unit of the IDC cluster modular units to form a modular structure by stacking and fastening together, arranging the receptacles of the IDC cluster modular units in parallel rows.
Contact member for electrical connector
A contact member includes, an outer conductor including a mating interface section that includes a front end of the outer conductor, a termination section including a rear end of the outer conductor, and a middle section therebetween joining the mating interface and termination sections; an inner conductor received in the mating interface section; and a protective insulator including a main portion received in the mating interface section of the outer conductor and supporting the inner conductor and including an end portion configured for closed entry mating. The end portion has an end face extending outside of the front end of the outer conductor.

Terminal fitting and electric wire with terminals
A core wire connecting body to be connected to a core wire in an electric wire includes: a bottom, a pair of cantilevered side walls that are disposed facing each other with a space therebetween; and a plurality of pairs of press contact bodies that are disposed facing each other with a space between the pair of side walls, and that cut the coating of the electric wire inserted from an opening, and make press contact with the strands. For the pairs of press contact bodies, compared to a distance between the press contact bodies that is a pair at the farthest section that is farthest from an end part of the electric wire, a distance between the press contact bodies that is a pair closer to the end part of the electric wire than the pair at the farthest section are, is smaller.

FERRULE FOR A COAXIAL CABLE TERMINAL HAVING OVERLAPPING CRIMP WINGS
A coaxial cable assembly includes a coaxial cable having a shield conductor surrounding a central conductor, a shield terminal in contact with an inner surface of the shield conductor, and a ferrule configured to secure the shield terminal to the coaxial cable. The ferrule defines first and second crimping wings. The first and second crimping wings each having an arcuate shape and are compressively connected to an outer surface of the shield conductor. A distal end of the first crimping wing overlies a distal end of the second crimping wing. A method for forming the coaxial cable assembly and a crimping tool for attaching the ferrule to the coaxial cable is also provided.
