Electrical wiring devices that incorporate screwless wire terminal connections are described. The electrical wiring devices include for example, single and duplex blade-type electrical receptacles, blade-type locking electrical receptacles, single or multi-pole electrical switches, combination switches and blade-type receptacles, blade-type plugs for electrical cords, blade-type connectors for electrical cords, male and female inlet connectors and pin-in-sleeve connectors. The electrical wiring devices include a plurality of contact assemblies having a horizontally moving or rotating activating member that permits wires to be inserted into or removed from the contact assemblies.

A wire connection terminal structure includes a case main body. Wire plug-in ports are connected with an electro-conductive module. Arcuate slide guide slots are disposed on the electro-conductive module. Rotary buttons are pivotally disposed in the case main body. Each rotary button has a movable section. A pin is disposed on the movable section. The pin is extended into the slide guide slot. At least one abutment leaf spring is pivotally disposed between the rotary button and the electro-conductive module. When a conductive wire passes through the wire plug-in port into the lateral side of the electro-conductive module, the rotary button can be driven to make the movable section gradually displace from a section of the abutment leaf spring near the pivotally rotational center to an outer lateral side. The abutment leaf spring is pushed to engage with the conductive wire.

The lever is configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the lever is configured to actuate an internal spring to receive a wire. In the closed position, the lever is configured to release the internal spring to secure and/or retain the wire via a compression force.

A conductor connection terminal, having an insulating material housing, a busbar, a clamping spring and an operating lever which is pivotably received in the insulating material housing over a pivoting range and can be pivoted between an open position and a closed position, wherein the clamping spring has an operating arm which is deflected via a spring driver of the operating lever at least in the open position, characterized in that the operating lever is supported in the open position at a first and a second support point spaced from the first, and that the operating lever is pulled against the first and the second support point by a tensile force of the clamping spring acting on the spring driver from the operating arm.

A single-pole or multipole plug connector includes an insulating housing and a contact insert having a conductor receptacle. The insulating housing has a conductor insertion guide channel for guiding the electrical conductor to the conductor receptacle and a contact pin insertion guide channel for guiding the contact pin to the contact pin connection. The conductor insertion guide channel and the contact pin insertion guide channel being oriented so as to run at an angle to each other. A cover housing part is arranged on the main housing part such that the conductor insertion guide channel runs in parallel to a mounting direction of the contact insert and the contact pin insertion guide channel perpendicularly thereto. The mounting direction of the contact insert being predefined by a mounting opening of the main housing part which may be closed with the cover housing part.

A lead terminal comprising at least one spring-loaded clamping connection for connecting an electrical conductor by spring force. The spring-loaded clamping connection includes a clamping spring and a busbar section, associated with the clamping spring, between which a clamping point for connecting the electrical conductor is formed, and comprising a swivelable actuating lever, associated with the spring-loaded clamping connection, for actuating the clamping spring. The actuating lever has at least one support element that includes a support surface, facing the busbar section, via which the actuating lever is supported on a support region of the busbar section.

A terminal block including a body, a plug, and a lever. The plug extends from the body to connect to an outlet. As the plug connects to an outlet, the plug is configured to receive an electrical pin and/or another conductor. In one example, the outlet and pin are part of an audio device. The body is configured to receive a wire and/or another conductor. The lever is configured to actuate between an open position and a closed position. In the open position, the lever is configured to compress an internal spring to receive a wire. In the closed position, the lever is configured to release the spring such as to retain the wire.
