Herein is provided a connector for providing an electrical connection between a conducting element and a connecting point, the connector comprising a first portion, a contacting element and second portion, the first portion being configured to be reversibly fastened to the second portion to thereby fasten a conducting element by the contacting element between the first portion and second portion.

PORTED HARDWARE FOR OVERHEAD ELECTRICAL CABLES

Electrical line hardware such as termination arrangements and splices for use with overhead electrical cables that enable the interrogation of the overhead electrical cables through the hardware. The hardware includes at least one port to facilitate access to the strength member of the electrical cable so that interrogation instruments may operatively couple to the strength member and to interrogation elements such as optical fibers associated with the strength member. The interrogation may occur after the overhead electrical cable has been fully tensioned and secured by the hardware, e.g., secured to a support tower.

HOLDING DEVICE
20230091916 · 2023-03-23 · ·

A holding device and a method for mounting such a holding device on a cable having a braid situated externally at least in certain regions. The holding device includes a base element (4) with a base (9) for fastening the base element (4) to a housing, and a bracing element (5) for operative connection to the base element (4), and also a crimp element (6) with an outer crimp sleeve (10), and, arranged therein, an inner supporting sleeve (11). In a state in which the cable (2) is mounted in the holding device (1), the braid (3) is arranged between the crimp sleeve (10) and the supporting sleeve (11), and the shield braid (4) is crimped between the crimp sleeve (10) and the supporting sleeve (11).

Crimpless electrical connectors

Various crimpless electrical connector assemblies are disclosed. The crimpless connector can include a crimpless contact configured to join two electrical conductors. A portion of the crimpless contact can be received in an outer housing that comprises a tapered lumen. The crimpless contact can be coupled to an activation unit, such as with a threaded connection. Rotation of the activation unit can cause the crimpless contact to translate within the outer housing and the tines to be compressed against the first conductor, thereby physically securing the first conductor in the crimpless connector.

Multi-phase connector for electric powertrain system

A multiphase connector for electric powertrain systems includes a terminal block and a plug member that are, at least in part, made from electrically conductive metal. The terminal block has at least one socket surrounding a retaining spring and the plug member has at least one contact pin configured to be inserted in to the at least one socket. The plug member can be engaged with the terminal block without use of installation tools and includes one or more cable gland assembly in contact with a shield of a shielded cable.

Electrical Connection Arrangement, Connection System and Method for Producing an Electrical Connection Between two Electrical Conductors
20230361491 · 2023-11-09 ·

The invention relates to an electrical connection arrangement (4) for the electrical and mechanical connection of a first electrical conductor (2) to a second electrical conductor (3), having an electrical connection element (8) with a first end and with a second end, wherein a press portion (9) is arranged at the first end, the press portion having at least one lateral contact surface (11) for electrical contact with an inner lateral surface (12) of a contact recess (13) of the first electrical conductor (2), and wherein a bearing portion (10) is arranged at the second end, the bearing portion having a bearing surface (14) for non-positive connection to a side surface (15) of the second electrical conductor (3). A connection bore (16) extends at least between the bearing portion (10) and the press portion (9) so that the connection element (8) can receive a first fastening means (17) or forms a first fastening means (17) itself, and can receive a second fastening means (18) which can be connected to the first fastening means (17) so that the non-positive connection is produced between the bearing surface (14) of the bearing portion (10) and the side surface (15) of the second electrical conductor (3). It is provided that the press portion (9) can be radially spread apart by the first fastening means (17) and/or by the second fastening means (18) in order to bring about a non-positive connection between the at least one lateral contact surface (11) and the inner lateral surface (12) of the contact recess (13), by the two fastening means (17, 18) being connected together.
