An object to provide a submarine optical transmission apparatus capable of efficiently housing optical components and electric components. First component housing units can house either or both of an optical component and an electric component and are stacked in a Z-direction. A case can house the first component housing units and a longitudinal direction thereof is an X-direction. A heat dissipating member is disposed in the case and conducts heat generated in the first component housing units to the case.

A water-resistant element, adapted to an opening, comprising a deformable body, a first plate and a second plate is provided. The first plate is disposed at and against a first side of the deformable body. The second plate is disposed at and against a second side of the deformable body. When the deformable body is disposed in the opening, a relative displacement between the first plate and the second plate is used to change a shape of the deformable body such that the deformable body closely fits the opening in order to block moisture from entering into the opening. In addition, an external connection wire module comprising the water-resistant element, an antenna box module comprising the external connection wire module and a method of fixing the water-resistant element at a housing are also provided.

PROTECTION MODULES FOR ON-BOARD ELECTRONICS AND INTERCONNECTION METHOD

The present invention is used to compose the structure of a system that operates inside pipelines. It can be used in a robotic system in the form of a train to move tools inside small diameter tubes or ducts. It avoids the need for costly commercial connectors with limited variety of connections.

The proposed solution is to partition/separate the electronic or hydraulic components into pressure vessel modules, thereby making it necessary to provide an adequate means of interconnection between said modules by means of an elastomeric conduit. Each module has a heat exchanger system (sink) to remove the heat generated by the electronic equipment installed inside thereof. The product of the invention has a sufficient degree of freedom to move in ducts and underwater pipes, where the hydrostatic pressure is extremely high.

Submarine Cable Interface For Connection to Terrestrial Terminals
20230090500 · 2023-03-23 ·

In an optical network having a terrestrial terminal and an open cable interface (OCI) connecting a submarine cable to a terrestrial cable, the OCI may include a filter positioned on an optical path between the terrestrial cable and the submarine cable and configured to pass first communication signals of a first frequency band, and filter out secondary signals of a second frequency band that does not overlap with the first frequency band. The secondary signals may be looped back to the terrestrial terminal. The terrestrial terminal may detect the looped back secondary signals, and in response, determine the presence of the OCI and that the supervisory signals were rerouted by the OCI.
