The outer circumferential surface may be coupled to the housing, which has electrical conductivity. A noise filter is provided in the mold cover. A ground terminal of the noise filter is electrically connected to the outer circumferential surface of the mold cover.

ACTIVE MAGNETIC BEARING APPARATUS

An active magnetic bearing apparatus for supporting a rotor of a rotary machine comprises an axial magnetic bearing unit and a radial magnetic bearing unit mounted directly to one another. One of the axial magnetic bearing unit and the radial magnetic bearing unit is mounted to a support for attachment to a housing of the rotary machine.

ROTATION ANGLE DETECTION DEVICE AND ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE USING SAME

The rotation angle detection device includes: a magnet; a magnetic detection element disposed on the one side in the axial direction relative to the magnet with a gap interposed between the magnetic detection element and the magnet; and a shield. The shield is disposed at a location in the axial direction between a location in the axial direction of a wire member allowing current to flow therethrough and a location in the axial direction of the magnetic detection element, is disposed radially outward of the magnet as seen in the axial direction, and has a portion that overlaps with the wire member as seen in the axial direction. The wire member is disposed at a location in the axial direction that is closer to the magnet than the magnetic detection element is, and is disposed radially outward of the magnet as seen in the axial direction.

An electric motor has an end shield and a sensor for detecting a magnetic field. The sensor is integrated into the end shield of the electric motor. An electric drive unit may include a brake, in particular an electromagnetically actuatable brake, and an electric motor, where a shielding element is arranged between the sensor and the brake.

Integrated magnetic shield and bearing holder

An integrated magnetic shield and bearing holder useable with electric motors includes a shaft portion and a cover portion extending radially outward from the shaft portion. The shaft portion includes an inner wall defining a channel and a ledge extending radially inward from the inner wall. The cover portion includes a first layer, a second layer extending substantially parallel to the first layer, a magnetic shield extending between the first layer and the second layer, and an outer wall extending from the first layer and/or the second layer such that a space is defined between the outer wall and the shaft portion. The cover portion includes one or more retainers coupled to the magnetic shield to restrict movement of the magnetic shield relative to the first layer and/or the second layer.

Mount bushing with integrated isolated insert for enhanced high frequency isolation performance

A mount bushing includes an outer ring adapted for connection to a mount structure. A tubular bushing insert is disposed inside the outer ring and a main elastomeric isolation arrangement disposed between the outer ring and the tubular bushing insert. A secondary elastomeric element is disposed inside the tubular bushing insert, wherein the secondary elastomeric element is isolated from the main elastomeric isolation element by the tubular bushing insert. A structural tube is disposed inside the secondary elastomeric element and a mounting bolt is inserted through the structural tube.

DRIVE UNIT FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE

Drive units for electric vehicles are provided. One example provides a drive unit for an electric vehicle including a first housing section forming a first compartment to house an electrical inverter and a second housing section forming a second compartment to house an electric motor. The drive unit housing further includes an inlet port to receive a fluid and a shared wall separating the first compartment and the second compartment. The shared wall defines fluid pathways in fluid communication with the inlet port to circulate the fluid to cool the electrical inverter. The drive unit also includes an outlet port in fluid communication with the fluid pathways to discharge the fluid.

CONTROL ASSEMBLY FOR USE IN OPERATION OF AN ELECTRIC DEVICE

A control assembly for controlling a speed or torque of operation of an electric device includes a control assembly housing, a magnetic sensor, a magnetic element; and an actuator. The actuator moves relative to the control assembly and, responsive to that movement, the magnetic sensor and magnetic element are moved relative to each other between a first position and a second position so that the magnetic sensor senses a first magnetic field reading when in the first position and senses a second magnetic field reading when in the second position. A control module is operably connected to the magnetic sensor and configured for controlling the electric device, and a magnetic shielding element is positioned within the control assembly housing to alleviate a magnetic signal source external to the control assembly from interfering with the sensing by the magnetic sensor.
