A recirculating linear generator comprises a motor, a pulley system, two series of coil structures each arranged coaxially, a positive lead, and a negative lead. The pulley system includes a driver pulley driven by the motor and a take-up pulley. A belt couples to the driver pulley and the take-up pulley, so when driven, the belt travels along the driver pulley and the take-up pulley rotates. A series of ferromagnetic couple to the belt. The belt and masses traverse through a center (i.e., an axis) of the first series and second series of coil structures, and the first series and second series of coil structures each comprise a single electrical path. The positive lead couples to positive ends of the first and second series of coil structures, and the negative lead couples to negative ends of the first and second series of coil structures.

Human joint energy harvesting apparatus and wearable electronic device comprising the same

The present application provides a human joint energy harvesting apparatus for capturing the biomechanical energy of a joint to generate electrical energy. The generated electrical energy may provide a real-time power supply to the wearable electronics. The apparatus employs a linear slide rail mechanism and cooperates with the user's first limb and second limb to form a slider-crank mechanism, which converts the rotating motion of the joint into a linear motion of the linear slide rail mechanism. The bending beam converts the linear motion of the linear slide rail mechanism into a bending motion. A piezoelectric film may be bonded to the upper and lower surfaces of the bending beam. During walking, the bending beam is deformed, causing the piezoelectric film to be stretched or compressed to generate electrical energy. To harvest more energy, the bending beam used in the apparatus is designed to be subjected to forced motion and free vibration, and a proof mass is attached to it. The present application also provides a wearable electronic device equipped with the human joint energy harvesting apparatus.

A propulsion system for an aircraft, which has a chassis, a propeller able to move in rotation about an axis of rotation, a main gear as one with the propeller, an electric generator, at least one linear electric motor having a fixed element and a slider able to move in translation, for each linear electric motor, a secondary gear meshing with the main gear and mounted to be able to move in rotation about an axis of rotation perpendicular to the axis of rotation, and a rod of which one end is articulated on the corresponding slider and of which the other end is articulated on the corresponding secondary gear at an articulation that is offset with respect to the axis of rotation of the secondary gear.

LINEAR ELECTRIC DEVICE

An electric device has a driveshaft with at least one stator cylinder positioned between opposing, curvilinear shaped cams mounted on the driveshaft, where the center axis of the stator cylinder is parallel with but spaced apart from the driveshaft axis. A magnet assembly is disposed in each end of the stator cylinder, with one magnet assembly engaging one cam and the other magnet assembly engaging the other cam. Each magnet assembly includes a cam follower that can move along a curvilinear shaped cam. A magnet slide arm attached to the cam reciprocates magnets carried on the magnet slide arm through electromagnetic windings disposed around the stator cylinder. An electrical input delivered to the windings can reciprocate the arm, driving the cams to rotate the driveshaft. Alternatively, rotation of the driveshaft can be used to reciprocate the arm to induce electric current in the windings.

Wave energy harvester

A linear generator includes one or more helices, and one or more magnet members movable relative to a first helix to generate electric energy within the first helix. The first helix includes a first coil. The first helix and/or the magnet members have a density less than that of water such that the first helix and/or the magnet members have buoyant properties when the linear generator is at least partially submerged in the water.
