A capacitive actuator motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a capacitive actuator having six actuator units and a motor output cam having a periodic shape portion. Each of the six actuator units includes a buckling displacement expansion mechanism configured to convert an output of a piezoelectric element and urge an output joint in a predetermined output direction and a preload adjustment spring configured to urge an output joint with a certain characteristic in a direction in which the periodic shape portion and the output joint come into contact with each other.

LENS DRIVE UNIT

A lens drive unit that prevents an actuator from being inclined is provided. In the lens drive unit, when a lens frame is displaced in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the actuator extends and contracts with respect to a base member by, for example, impact from an outside of the lens drive unit, a drive shaft of the actuator abuts on a first lateral wall and a column, so that the actuator is prevented from being inclined with respect to the base member.

LENS DRIVE UNIT

A lens drive unit that offers enhanced reliability in connection between an actuator electrode and an electric wire is provided. In the lens drive unit, an actuator has a weight housed in an holding portion of a base member and is thereby fixed in the base member. Electrodes on a lateral surface of the weight directly contact respective terminal electrodes on an inner lateral surface of the holding portion, so that an electrical connection is established therebetween. The arrangement enhances reliability in connection between the actuator electrodes and the terminal electrodes.

Driving mechanism

A driving mechanism is provided, including a fixed portion, a movable portion, a driving assembly and a connecting element. The movable portion may move relative to the fixed portion and is used for holding an optical module. The driving assembly moves the movable portion relative to the fixed portion. The connecting element is movably connected to the fixed portion and the movable portion.

Optical transformer

An optical transformer includes a light source and an array of photovoltaic cells optically coupled to the light source, where at least a portion of the photovoltaic cells are connected in series. An optical connector such as a waveguide or an optical fiber may be disposed between an output of the light source and an input of the array of photovoltaic cells. Configured to generate a high voltage output, the optical transformer may be configured to power a device such as an actuator that provides a tunable displacement as a function of voltage.
