ROTARY PIEZOELECTRIC MOTOR, IN PARTICULAR FOR WATCHMAKING
A rotary piezoelectric motor (1), in particular for a timepiece, including a rotor (3) configured to rotate and actuate a mechanical device, and a stator (2) configured to rotate the rotor (3), the stator (2) including a piezoelectric actuator provided with a resonator (29) arranged to perform an oscillatory motion, and a fixed element (4). The resonator in a movable element (5) arranged at a distance from the fixed element (4) and connected to the fixed element (4), the piezoelectric actuator being configured to move the movable element (5) against the rotor (3) to make it rotate, the movement of the movable element (5) making the rotor (3) rotate in a first direction.
Regenerative drive system
A regenerative drive system for generating a rotary movement, which is in the form of a direct hub drive and includes an electric machine that works on the piezoelectric principle, more particularly in the form of a swash plate motor is provided. The drive system can be fitted in vehicles such as box trucks, truck tractors and trailer vehicles.
BUCKLING WAVE DISK
A power conversion device has a buckled wave disk that has an axis and is radially compressed between a hub and a wave ring. The buckled wave disk is buckled in the radial direction to form circumferential waves which are displaced in the axial direction and extending around the buckled wave disk with lines formed of inflection points of the circumferential waves extending between the hub and wave ring. The wave ring is outwardly radially displaced at nodes corresponding to lines formed of inflection points of the circumferential waves. A wave propagation actuator cooperates with the buckled wave disk for driving a wave and the lines formed of inflection points of the circumferential waves around the buckled wave disk. An outer ring surrounds the wave ring, the outer ring being driven by or driving the wave ring at the nodes. A method of making a wave disk is provided.

Motor with linear actuators
A motor powered by linear actuators comprises a base plane in which a plurality of linear actuators (2, 2, 2, 20) operate by reciprocating along respective lines of action (X, X, X), an elastic conversion member (3, 30) which is adapted to move in the plane and suitable to be connected to a drive shaft (S). The linear actuators (2, 2, 2, 20) are operatively connected with the conversion member (3, 30) for converting the reciprocating motion of the linear actuators (2, 2, 2, 20) into a substantially continuous motion of the conversion member (3, 30). The motor also comprises stationary constraint means (4, 40) which are adapted to selectively interact with the conversion member (3, 30) to locally deform it and/or promote sliding and movement thereof the plane about a predetermined axis or in a predetermined direction in response to the action of the linear actuators (2, 2, 2, 20).

Magnetostrictive motor for a borehole assembly
A motor includes: a rotor including an undulated surface; a rod disposed about the rotor; and a coil disposed about the rod to induce shape changes in the rod, which in turn impart forces to the undulated surface to rotate the rotor.
Actuator using expansion or contraction to produce linear or rotary motion
A motion producing device comprising an output member with a contact surface and a reference member. An actuator member is attached to the reference member, the actuator member having a traction surface and comprising actuator zones, each actuator zone being energizable to move a corresponding portion of the traction surface to change a contact state of the traction surface with the contact surface depending on an energized state of the actuator zone. An energy source is operatively coupled to the actuator zones for sequentially changing the energized state of the actuator zones. The actuator member provides a torque transmission path between the reference member and the output member.
Wobble motor with a solid state actuator
An wobble motor with an actuator extending in a Z direction between opposite mount and tool ends and comprising two sections offset in that Z direction. Each section comprises a structure of electrodes interleaved in a piezoelectric material in such a way that a Y-region can cause deflection in a Y-direction perpendicular to the Z-direction upon energizing of associated electrodes and such that a X-region can cause deflection in an X-direction perpendicular to the Y and Z directions upon energizing of associated electrodes.
