AMPLIFIER CIRCUIT WITH AN ENVELOPE ENHANCEMENT
Amplifier circuits, radio communication circuits, radio communication devices, and methods provided in this disclosure provide an amplifier circuit. The amplifier circuit may include an amplifier configured to amplify an input signal to provide an output signal. The amplifier circuit may further include an amplifier stack including a first transistor coupled to the amplifier. The amplifier stack may be configured to receive the output signal to amplify the output signal. The amplifier stack may be configured to receive an input control signal to control the first transistor based on an envelope of the input signal.
Gain Stabilization
An apparatus is disclosed for gain stabilization. In an example aspect, the apparatus includes an amplifier and a gain-stabilization circuit. The amplifier has a gain that is based on a bias voltage and an amplification control signal. The gain- stabilization circuit is coupled to the amplifier and includes a replica amplifier. The replica amplifier has a replica gain that is based on the bias voltage and the amplification control signal. The gain-stabilization circuit is configured to adjust at least one of the bias voltage or the amplification control signal based on a gain error associated with the replica amplifier.
MILLIMETER-WAVE POWER AMPLIFIER
In accordance with an embodiment, a method for operating a millimeter-wave power amplifier including an input transistor having an output node coupled to a load path of a cascode transistor includes: receiving a millimeter-wave transmit signal at a control node of the input transistor; amplifying the millimeter-wave transmit signal to form an output signal; providing the output signal to a load coupled to an output node of the cascode transistor; and adjusting a first DC bias current of the input transistor to form a substantially constant second DC bias current of the cascode transistor.
Configurable input for an amplifier
Methods, systems, and devices for configurable input for an amplifier are described. In some examples, a circuit may be configured to operate based on a signal having a first voltage profile or a second voltage profile. For example, the first voltage profile may be associated with a range of voltages that are based on a temperature of an associated memory chip, and the second voltage profile may be associated with a voltage (or voltages) that are not associated with the temperature of the memory chip. The circuit may include one or more transistors and switches that are activated based on the voltage profile and a switch receiving a particular control signal. In some instances, the control signal may be received based on a value stored to one or more non-volatile memory elements.
