In some examples, a system includes a transceiver configured to transmit a first surveillance message at a first power level at or below a first maximum power level. The system also includes processing circuitry coupled to the transceiver, the processing circuitry configured to determine that a threshold condition exists. The processing circuitry is also configured to determine a second maximum power level in response to determining that the threshold condition exists, where the second maximum power level is lower than the first maximum power level. The transceiver is configured to transmit, in response to the processing circuitry determining that the threshold condition exists, a second surveillance message at a second power level, wherein the second power level is at or below the second maximum power level.

A method for mitigating a leakage signal in an FMCW radar and a radar system thereof are disclosed. The method for mitigating the leakage signal in the radar system includes generating an in-phase signal and a quadrature signal for a beat signal, generating a complex signal using the in-phase signal and the quadrature signal, concentrating a phase noise of the leakage signal included in the complex signal on a stationary point, and mitigating the phase noise based on stationary point concentration (SPC) of the phase noise.

Lookup table (LUT) interpolation with optimized multiplier width using companding in correction slope

Systems, devices, and methods related to interpolation are provided. An example apparatus includes a slope calculator to calculate a slope value based on a first value and a second value associated with a function. The apparatus further includes a compander to compand the slope value to provide a companded slope value having a smaller bit-width than the calculated slope value. The apparatus further includes a multiplier to multiply the companded slope value by a third value to provide a correction value. The apparatus further includes an adder to add the correction value to the first value or the second value to provide an interpolated value associated with the function. Companding the slope value can reduce a bit-width of the multiplier, and thus may reduce power consumption and/or area.

A method includes, in a transceiver (24), receiving from a repeater (32) a received signal, which includes a desired signal for reception and an undesired replica of a transmitted signal that was transmitted from the transceiver and retransmitted by the repeater. A local copy of the transmitted signal is generated in the transceiver. A filter response that, when applied to the transmitted signal before transmission, compensates for a difference in spectral response between the local copy and the undesired replica, is estimated in the transceiver. The undesired replica of the transmitted signal, which is received in the received signal, is matched with the local copy of the transmitted signal, by at least pre-filtering the transmitted signal before transmission with the estimated filter response. Interference caused by the undesired replica to the desired signal is canceled, by combining the local copy and the received signal.

An apparatus, system, and method are provided for energy conversion. For example, the apparatus can include a trans-impedance node, a reactive element, and a trans-impedance circuit. The reactive element can be configured to transfer energy to the trans-impedance node. The trans-impedance circuit can be configured to receive one or more control signals and to dynamically adjust an impedance of the trans-impedance node. The trans-impedance node, as a result, can operate as an RF power switching supply based on the one or more control signals.

A wireless communication device may have an apparatus that aligns the non-linearity between transmit chains of the wireless communication device that are driven by the same digital port. The apparatus may adjust an amplification power out or an amplification saturated power to adjust a ratio between the amplification saturated power and the amplification power out for one or more transmit chains of the wireless communication device. The apparatus may adjust the ratios of transmit chains to align the ratios of the transmit chains for more consistent management of non-linear characteristics of the chain components. Polar Transmitter and Method for Generating a Transmit Signal Using a Polar Transmitter

A polar transmitter provided for transmitting a phase/frequency modulated and amplitude modulated transmit signal and a method for generating a transmit signal using a polar transmitter are described. An example polar transmitter comprises a phase locked loop for generating a phase/frequency modulated precursor of the transmit signal. The phase locked loop comprises at its input a phase error detection unit for detecting a phase error of the precursor fed back from the output of the phase locked loop to the phase error detection unit as a feedback signal. The polar transmitter comprises a digital amplitude modulator for amplitude modulation of the precursor, resulting in the transmit signal. The digital amplitude modulator is arranged within the phase locked loop for amplitude modulation of the precursor before being output by the PLL. The phase error detection unit is further provided for detecting the amplitude of the feedback signal.
