A music audio control and distribution system in a location, comprising a first wireless music audio device connected to a local network, the network operably connecting the music audio device with at least one of: (1) a music audio player or (2) a music audio output device, and with a remote music audio source operably connected to the local network. The location of the local network is one of (a) a home, (b) an office, and (c) an automobile. The system also includes a second music audio device comprising at least one of (i) a music audio player or (ii) a music audio output device. The second music audio device is also connected to the local network and is controllable by the first wireless music audio device.

Accessory connector for a radio

An accessory connector (102) and connector system (100) are provided. The accessory connector (102) comprises and edge tongue portion at one end and a thumb screw recess at the opposite end with a floating header therebetween. The edge tongue portion enables pivotal engagement of the accessory connector to a device interface. The floating header (110) has a perimeter alignment wall (112) surrounding a plurality of pogo pins (114) recessed therein. The floating header is movable in planar directions within the accessory connector prior to attachment of the connector to the radio connector interface (154). The x-y moveability allows for fine alignment of the pogo pins to corresponding contacts and loading of the pogo pins to the contacts in a z-direction.

Two-way communication device with detachable transmitter and method of operation

A two-way communication device with detachable transmitter and method of operation receives and/or sends communication signals. The device includes a receiver portion for receiving communication signals, and a transmitter portion for transmitting communication signals. The receiver and the transmitter may or may not be independently operational when detached. This detachability allows the receiver portion to be carried into secure areas where transmitters are not allowed without losing ability to be contacted. To indicate detachment, the receiver detects that the transmitter is detached via a signal pin. An indicator portion visually indicates whether the transmitter is detached or attached to the receiver. A control unit regulates communication signals with the receiver and transmitter. A user interface unit enables inputting and receiving data for communications. A housing protects the receiver and transmitter.

Modular device and methods therefor

A device (1400) includes an electronic device (100) with one or more processors (501), one or more memory devices (508), a display (101), and a first electrical connector (206). An electronic accessory module (600) includes a second electrical connector (806). A housing (1100) receives the electronic accessory module at a first end of the housing and receives the electronic device at a second end of the housing. The housing biases the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector together and couples to both the electronic device and the electronic accessory module to secure the electronic device and the electronic accessory module within the housing.
