Method and apparatus for an antenna
There are disclosed various methods and apparatuses for an antenna. In some embodiments of the method a transmission signal is provided to a first feed point (126) of an antenna (102). A modified signal is generated from the transmission signal and provided to a second feed point (128) of the antenna (102). In some embodiments the apparatus comprises an antenna comprising a first feed point (126) and a second feed point (128). There is also a first interface to provide a transmission signal to the first feed point (126), and a phase shifter (124) for generating a modified signal from the transmission signal. The modified signal is provided to a second feed point (128) of the antenna (102).
Multiplexer device with multiple notch filters connected in parallel
A multiplexer device includes an antenna node connected to an antenna for at least one of receiving and transmitting signals; multiple band pass filters connected to the antenna node, each band pass filter having a different passband; and multiple notch filters connected in to the antenna node and the multiple band pass filters, each notch filter having a different stopband corresponding to one of the passbands of the band pass filters. The notch filters are connected in parallel with one another in order to reduce insertion loss.
Audio-driven self powered push to talk (PTT) keying source for soundcard data modems
A system, method, and apparatus for keying radio transmitters in data transmission. The invention includes an automated Push-To-Talk (PTT) transmitter keying/enable switch to facilitate data mode communication via radio stations. An embodiment of the present invention provides low latency or delay; independent from other firmware/subroutine layers executing properly; independent of computer ‘power management’ arbitrarily and capriciously shutting down vital parts of the communications chain. The PTT transmitter keying switch includes a buffering resistor to smooth a load impedance and a charge pump power demand of a driving audio input signal. A plurality of charge pump capacitors are configured to store a source charge of the driving audio input signal for the voltage multiplier. A collector of a switch transistor is configured for connection with a PTT input of the radio station transmitter. An emitter of the switch transistor coupled to the ground.
Systems and methods for generating radio frequency signals
The present embodiments are directed to a device for generating radio frequency signals, including high power radio frequency signals. In certain embodiments, the device comprises multiple transmission lines driven in parallel at their input and connected in series at their output. The electromagnetic transit lengths of the transmission lines may be unequal. A series connection of the transmission lines at the output may produce an output signal from each transmission line driving the same polarity signal to the load. The series connection of transmission lines at the output may produce a bipolar output signal. One section of the device may convert a unipolar input signal into a bipolar signal. One section of the device may duplicate the input signal. Multiple sections may be arranged to convert a unipolar input signal into multiple radio frequency oscillations.
Low-loss mm-wave CMOS resonant switch
A resonant switch with a first port and a second port has a capacitor connected thereto. A triple inductor network has a center inductor connected to the first port and the second port, and first and second peripheral inductors each electromagnetically coupled thereto. In a deactivated state, the center inductor and the capacitor define a parallel resonance at a predefined operating frequency range, and in an activated state, insertion loss associated with the center inductor is substantially minimized to metallic trace loss attributable thereto.
Transparent demodulation reference signal design
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide procedures for transparent demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) design. According to certain aspects, a method of wireless communication by a base station (BS) is provided. The method generally includes transmitting one or more pilots based on at least one precoder used for transmitting data. The BS transmits the data based on the at least one precoder. A method by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one or more pilots based on at least one precoder used for transmitting data on a channel. The UE estimates interference based on the one or more pilots and the UE decodes the data transmission based on the interference estimate.
Sequentially switched bulk acoustic wave (BAW) delay line circulator
A sequentially switched bulk acoustic wave (BAW) delay line circulator is disclosed herein. A circulator circuit is implemented with semiconductor components in order to provide a compact, low cost solution for simultaneous signal transmission and reception over a single antenna. For example, the circulator circuit can include a transmit (TX) port, a receive (RX) port, and an antenna port. Antenna switching circuitry selectively couples the antenna port to two or more BAW delay lines, and TX/RX switching circuitry selectively couples the BAW delay lines to the TX port or the RX port. The BAW delay lines function as memory to store TX and RX signals long enough for the antenna switching circuitry, a TX switch, and a RX switch to be switched in sequence and route the TX signals from the TX port to the antenna port and route the RX signals from the antenna port to the RX port.
Dual receivers for advertisement scans
Technologies for improving airtime for advertisement packet scanning are described. One apparatus includes a processing device, a memory device, a first radio, a second radio, and a single media access control (MAC) device coupled to the first radio and the second radio. The single MAC device assigns a single MAC address to the first radio and the second radio. The first radio receives first data and the second radio received second data and stores the second data in the memory device. The single MAC device processes the first data received from the radio and processes the second data retrieved from the memory device.
Complementary metal oxide semiconductor differential antenna transmit-receive switches with power combining circuitry for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems
A radio frequency (RF) transmit-receive switch has an antenna port, first and second transmit differential ports and first and second receive differential ports. Transmit transistor switches are connected to the transmit differential ports. Primary and secondary windings of a transmit coupled inductor transformer are connected to the transmit transistor switches. Receive transistor switches are connected to the receive differential ports. Primary and secondary windings of a receive coupled inductor transformer are connected to the receive transistor switches. A first balun inductive winding is connected to the antenna port, and a second balun inductive winding is connected to the transistor switches.
REFERENCE SIGNAL PACKING FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
In a wireless communication network, pilot signals are transmitted over a wireless communication channel by determining a maximum delay spread for a transmission channel, determining a maximum Doppler frequency spread for the transmission channel, and allocating a set of transmission resources in a time-frequency domain to a number of pilot signals based on the maximum delay spread and the maximum Doppler frequency spread.
