ELECTRONIC MODULE
The present disclosure provides an electronic module including a circuit including a transmitting part and a receiving part physically separated from the transmitting part. The electronic module also includes an element isolated from the circuit and configured to block electrical interference between the transmitting part and the receiving part.
High radiation efficiency antenna systems
A system that incorporates teachings of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a communication device including a matching network for impedance tuning and pairs of antennas that can be utilized as primary and diversity antennas, respectively, and can provide high radiation efficiency. An RF switch can be utilized for re-configuring the primary and diversity antennas. Other embodiments are disclosed.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CANCELLING INTERFERENCE CAUSED BY NON-LINEAR DEVICE
The disclosure relates to a cancellation device for cancelling interference caused by a non-linear device, the cancellation device comprising: an adaptive filter coupled in parallel to the non-linear device, wherein the adaptive filter is configured to filter an input signal of the non-linear device to generate an approximation signal approximating an output signal of the non-linear device; an error signal generator configured to generate an error signal based on a function of the output signal and the approximation signal; and a controller configured to adjust the adaptive filter based on the error signal and a phase and magnitude relation of the output signal and the input signal.
Radio frequency front end module with high band selectivity
A radio frequency front end module is provided for a high power capability and a high signal band selectivity. The front end module includes an external filter and an integrated circuit coupled with the external filter via two external filter leads. The integrated circuit includes a transmit-receive switch, a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier. The transmit-receive switch alternates between coupling an antenna port to a transmit port and coupling the antenna port to a receive port. The power amplifier amplifies a modulated radio frequency signal. The low noise amplifier amplifies a received radio frequency signal when the antenna port is coupled to the receive port. The external filter can be replaced to adapt to various requirements of signal frequency bands, without the need of modifying the layout of the integrated circuit.
TRANSMIT-RECEIVE SWITCH WITH HARMONIC DISTORTION REJECTION AND ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE PROTECTION
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to reducing insertion loss in a transceiver while improving an operating efficiency of the transceiver. To do so, the transceiver may include isolation circuitry with harmonic distortion rejection circuitry, an electrostatic discharge filter, an out-of-band noise filter, and/or a matching network. In particular, the harmonic distortion rejection circuitry may enable a second harmonic signal to pass from a power amplifier of a transmitter of the transceiver to ground. The electrostatic discharge filter may also provide a path to ground for electrostatic discharge, and the out-of-band noise filter may provide a path to ground for noise signals. The isolation circuitry may substantially remove or decrease interference caused by undesirable signals while reducing a power consumption and thus improving an operating efficiency of the transceiver.
RF MODULE
An RF module comprises: a first front end module (FEM) which allows a signal of a first bandwidth to pass and blocks a signal of a second bandwidth according to a first time constant which is determined by a plurality of devices provided in the inside thereof and a second FEM which blocks the signal of the first bandwidth and allows the signal of the second bandwidth to pass according to a second time constant which is determined by the plurality of devices provided in the inside thereof.
Low noise amplifier protection
The apparatus includes a first transistor having a gate/base terminal to receive a first drive control signal used for controlling a driver stage of the transceiver and a drain/collector terminal coupled to a control terminal of a switch of the transceiver. The first transistor is switched on when the first drive control signal is at a first level that enables the driver stage to amplify a first RF signal. When the first transistor is switched on, the drain/collector terminal of the first transistor outputs to a control terminal of the switch a switch control signal at a second level that enables the switch to provide a portion of the RF signal reflected by the antenna to the load.
Apparatus and methods related to ferrite based circulators
Apparatus and methods related to ferrite based circulators are disclosed. A ferrite disk used in a circulator can be configured to reduce intermodulation distortion when routing radio-frequency signals having closely spaced frequencies. Such a reduction in intermodulation distortion can be achieved by adjusting magnetization at the edge portion of the ferrite disk. By way of an example, a ferrite disk with a reduced saturation magnetization (4PiMs) edge portion can reduce intermodulation distortion. Example configurations with such a reduced 4PiMs edge portions are disclosed.
