Systems and methods for distributed P25 LMR radio vulnerability management and real-time interference monitoring
A threat monitoring and vulnerability management system is disclosed. The system includes one or more sensors configured to scan a frequency spectrum of a project 25 (P25) network and to collect data on the P25 network. The system further includes a server coupled to the sensors and configured to receive the collected data from the plurality of sensors, compare the collected data with previously stored historical data to determine whether an anomaly exists within data patterns of the collected data, responsive to determining that the anomaly exists, determine at least one of: whether use of a cloned radio that mimics an authorized connection occurs, whether jamming of a radio frequency (RF) communication occurs, or whether jamming of a voice communication occurs within the P25 network by comparing the collected data with preset thresholds, and send a real-time alert to a dispatch and control console unit coupled to the server and the P25 network in response to determining that some of the collected data exceeds at least one of the preset thresholds, such that the dispatch and control console unit provides one or more corrective actions to the P25 network.
Radar transmission time interval randomized radar transmissions
Certain aspects provide a method for radar detection by an apparatus. The method including transmitting a radar waveform in transmission time intervals (TTIs) to perform detection of a target object. The method further includes varying the radar waveform across TTIs based on one or more radar transmission parameters.
JOINT LINK-LEVEL AND NETWORK-LEVEL INTELLIGENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC SPECTRUM ANTI-JAMMING
A joint link-level and network-level intelligent system and method for dynamic spectrum anti-jamming are provided. The system includes a link-level anti-jamming subsystem and a network-level anti-jamming subsystem. The link-level anti-jamming subsystem sets a reward value as system transmission throughput in a single decision cycle, and a user makes an intelligent frequency usage decision based on the obtained reward value to skip a frequency band in which jamming exists. The network-level anti-jamming subsystem performs reasonable frequency band allocation and management for lower-level sub-users when link-level anti-jamming fails to further enhance a frequency domain anti-jamming capability of the entire system. The users make intelligent frequency usage decisions through a dynamic spectrum anti-jamming algorithm based on reinforcement learning to effectively avoid external malicious jamming, realize dynamic spectrum access, and enhance a frequency domain anti-jamming capability of the system.
COOPERATIVE EARLY THREAT DETECTION AND AVOIDANCE IN C-V2X
Method and apparatus for cooperative early threat detection and avoidance in C-V2X. In one aspect, the apparatus detects a threat entity within a threat zone based on data signals received from the threat entity, wherein the threat entity obstructs wireless spectrum or resources utilized in cooperative or automated driving decisions. The apparatus transmits, to at least one second wireless device, a message indicating the threat entity within the threat zone.
System and method for triggering an alarm during a sensor jamming attack
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a storage device, for triggering an alarm during a sensor jamming attack. In one aspect, a monitoring system sensor unit is disclosed that includes a sensor, a communication unit configured to communicate with a monitoring system using a range of frequencies, and a jamming detection unit. The jamming detection unit may include a processor and a computer storage media storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. The operations include detecting a sensor jamming event, selecting a different form of communication other than the range of radio frequencies for the communication unit to communicate with the monitoring system, and providing, to the communication unit, an instruction to communicate with the monitoring system using the form of communication, wherein the communication unit may communicate, to the monitoring system using the form of communication, the sensor data.
PROCESSING METHOD FOR A RADIO SIGNAL DISTURBED BY A RADAR SIGNAL
The present description concerns a method of processing by a radio transmitter/receiver (12) of a radio signal (SR) comprising a telecommunications signal disturbed by pulses of a radar signal, the method comprising the steps of: estimating the instantaneous power of the pulses, estimating the ratio of the average power of the telecommunications signal to the instantaneous power of the radar pulses, and modifying the radio signal at the locations of the radar pulses when said ratio is smaller than a threshold.
Abrupt Interference Mitigation
Providing signal-to-noise ratio information to a local transmitter node. A method includes receiving data in a signal transmitted on a data channel from the local transmitter node. A first signal-to-total-power ratio for the signal assuming no jamming of the signal is occurring is computed. A second signal-to-total-power ratio for the signal with factors included assuming jamming is occurring is computed. The first signal-to-total-power ratio to the second signal-to-total-power ratio are compared to determine if they differ by a predetermined amount. The method includes determining that the predetermined amount is exceeded, and as a result, a jammed signal-to-noise ratio is computed assuming jamming is occurring. The jammed signal-to-noise ratio is sent to the local transmitter node to allow the local transmitter to respond to the jammed signal-to-noise ratio.
ALGORITHM AND TECHNIQUES FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION INTERFERENCE PARAMETER ESTIMATION IN LOW-SWAP ENVIRONMENT
Techniques for providing a multi-stage iterative scheme to determine fine granularity estimates of parameters of an interfering signal and for using the fine granularity estimates of the parameters to reduce an impact of the interfering signal against a signal of interest (SOI) are disclosed. An input signal is identified. A first set of estimation parameters that provide a coarse granularity estimate of a center frequency of the jamming signal and of a symbol rate of the jamming signal are determined. The first set of estimation parameters are refined to generate a medium granularity estimate of the center frequency and the symbol rate of the jamming frequency. The medium granularity estimates are also refined to produce a fine granularity estimate of the center frequency and the symbol rate. The fine granularity estimates are used to remove or reduce an influence of the jamming signal on the input signal.
JAMMER DETECTION SYSTEM
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to jamming detection for radio frequency (RF) front-end circuitry. For example, certain aspects provide an apparatus having a first counter configured to count a number of times that a power of a reception signal exceeds a first threshold. The apparatus also includes a second counter configured to count a number of measurements of the power of the reception signal. The apparatus further includes control logic having a first input coupled to an output of the first counter and having a second input coupled to an output of the second counter. The control logic is configured to determine an amount of jamming over a measurement window based on the number of times that the power of the reception signal exceeds the first threshold and on the number of measurements.
