FORWARDING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND BROADBAND REMOTE ACCESS SERVER FORWARDING PLANE
A forwarding method and apparatus, and a broadband remote access server user plane are disclosed. The method may include: obtaining a user access control message; forwarding the user access control message and associated identification information of the BRAS-UP to a broadband remote access server control plane (BRAS-CP); receiving a primary user forwarding table entry sent by the BRAS-CP, wherein the primary user forwarding table entry is determined at an access control process node based on the user access control message and the associated identification information, and the access control process node is a node existing before user data traffic reaches the BRAS-UP; and forwarding a subsequent user access control message based on the primary user forwarding table entry
Gateway for Transporting Out-Of-Band Messaging Signals
A Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) having a gateway configured to output signals on over data tunnels for transfer over a cable network to Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). Each data tunnel is preferably characterized as a one-way data stream of out-of-band (OOB) messaging signals.
Gateway for transporting out-of-band messaging signals

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
In a communication system. an SLG (6) includes a slice selection unit (614) that selects, in receiving a network slice reservation request including a network condition from a vCPE, based on topology information, a latency state, and processing capability information regarding each of the other SLGs (6), a destination SLG of a network slice that satisfies the network condition to reserve the network slice, and if there is no destination SLG that satisfies the network condition, newly activates a destination SLG to establish a network slice that satisfies the network condition, and an allocation unit (63) that allocates traffic transmitted from the vCPE to the network slice reserved or established by the selection unit.
Method and system for internet protocol provisioning of customer premises equipment
Method and system for Internet Protocol (IP) provisioning over a cable network. The method and system including a plurality of embedded settop boxes (eSTBs) of at least two different vendors requesting IP provisioning according to a first protocol. The method and system further including a network provisioning unit (NPU) in communication with the eSTBs over the network for responding to the eSTB IP provisioning requests with IP provisioning data, wherein the eSTB IP provisioning data is outputted according to the first protocol such that provisioning of the eSTBs is standard for each vendor in so far as each eSTB utilizes the first protocol for provisioning.

System and method for provisioning internet access
A system and method for provisioning internet access to guests of a travel facility is provided. A number of access points are in electronic communication with a gateway device which is in electronic communication with a property management system (PMS) and a router. The PMS includes identifying information for guests registered with the travel facility. An API gateway and a central destination server are in electronic communication with the gateway device by way of the internet. The central destination server receives a request to connect to the internet from a personal electronic device and grants internet access if the personal electronic device is recognized as having previously been granted internet access for a duration of time and if the current time is within the duration of time.
Controlling Network Access of Customer-Premises Equipment
A system and computer-implemented method are provided for controlling network access of customer-premises equipment which may be connected via a last mile access line to a transport network. The last mile access line may terminate at a line terminal in the transport network. Said controlling may comprise searching a trusted access database for an entry containing a combination of an equipment identifier and a line identifier. If the entry is found and if the entry contains a user identifier having user credentials which are valid according to an authorization database, the network access may be granted. If the entry is not found, temporary access may be granted to a private network which may enable a user identifier and user credentials to be digitally submitted. If the user credentials are valid according to the authorization database, the network access may be subsequently granted.
Communication system and communication method
In a communication system, an SLG includes a slice selection unit that selects, in receiving a network slice reservation request including a network condition from a vCPE, based on topology information, a latency state, and processing capability information regarding each of the other SLGs, a destination SLG of a network slice that satisfies the network condition to reserve the network slice, and if there is no destination SLG that satisfies the network condition, newly activates a destination SLG to establish a network slice that satisfies the network condition, and an allocation unit that allocates traffic transmitted from the vCPE to the network slice reserved or established by the selection unit.
Packet processing method in PPPoE authentication process and relevant device
Embodiments of the present application provide a packet processing method in a Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) authentication process and a relevant device. A first broadcast access server (BAS) exists in a broadcast domain in which a user terminal is located, the first BAS supports the PPPoE and corresponds to a first operator. The method includes receiving, by the first BAS, a PPPoE active discovery initiation (PADI) packet sent by the user terminal; and when determining that a quantity of authentication failures of the user terminal on the first BAS is greater than a preset threshold, skipping sending, by the first BAS, a PPPoE active discovery offer (PADO) packet to the user terminal in a preset period. The technical solutions in the embodiments of the present application resolve a problem that the user terminal cannot perform access because the user terminal establishes a session with the first BAS.
