FORWARDING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND BROADBAND REMOTE ACCESS SERVER FORWARDING PLANE
A forwarding method and apparatus, and a broadband remote access server user plane are disclosed. The method may include: obtaining a user access control message; forwarding the user access control message and associated identification information of the BRAS-UP to a broadband remote access server control plane (BRAS-CP); receiving a primary user forwarding table entry sent by the BRAS-CP, wherein the primary user forwarding table entry is determined at an access control process node based on the user access control message and the associated identification information, and the access control process node is a node existing before user data traffic reaches the BRAS-UP; and forwarding a subsequent user access control message based on the primary user forwarding table entry
Communication node, control apparatus, method for management of control information entries and program
The communication node includes an entry memory adapted to store a preset number of the control information entries, each stipulating the processing applied to a packet received, in association with the user information, and a packet processor that references the entry memory to process the packet received. The communication node also includes an entry management section that exercises control so that, on the basis of a preset reference, the proportion of the number of the control information entries for one user stored in the entry memory to the number of the control information entries storable in the entry memory will not surpass a preset value.
Subscriber station for a serial bus system and method for communicating in a serial bus system
A subscriber station for a serial bus system and a method for communicating in a serial bus system. The subscriber station includes a communication control device for controlling a communication of the subscriber station with at least one other subscriber station of the bus system, a transmitting/receiving device for receiving a transmission signal generated by a communication control device of a subscriber station of the bus system in a frame from a bus of the bus system and for generating a reception signal from the received frame, and a connection quality block for detecting and evaluating a quality of a communication connection to a subscriber station of the bus system from the reception signal generated by the transmitting/receiving device by using at least two time quanta, into which the bit time of a bit of the generated reception signal is subdivided.
RPD EVENT STORM MITIGATION
An access network can include a plurality of remote nodes connected to a principal controller. The principal controller can experience an event storm when one or more of the plurality of remote nodes report an access network event at the same or substantially the same time. One or more remote nodes can mitigate such an event storm at the principal core by delaying by an event reporting delay the reporting of the access network event to the principal core. The event reporting delay can be based on an event delay policy associated with a given remote node. The even reporting delay can be different for each remote node or a group of remote nodes so that the principal core does not receive reports from the plurality of remote nodes so as to cause an event storm which can negatively impact the access network, one or more network devices, or both.
SUBSCRIBER STATION FOR A SERIAL BUS SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR COMMUNICATING IN A SERIAL BUS SYSTEM
BEHAVIORAL BIOMETRIC PROTECTION FOR WIRELESS CARRIER SUBSCRIBERS
A video stream from a user device that is destined for a recipient device is received at a core network of a wireless carrier network. The video stream has a video quality that at least meets a quality threshold for behavioral biometric analysis. A determination of whether a video privacy policy for the user device permits transmission of the video stream of the video quality to the recipient device is made. In response to the video privacy policy not permitting the transmission of the video stream of the video quality, the video quality of the video stream is downgraded to generate a downgraded video stream that prevents behavioral biometric analysis for transmission to the recipient device. However, in response to the video privacy policy permitting the transmission of the video stream of the video quality, the video stream of the video quality is transmitted to the recipient device.
Global network state management
Devices, systems, and techniques for global network state management are described herein. In one example, the present disclosure describes an example method performed by a software-defined network (SDN) controller that manages a network of a plurality of devices. The method include maintaining, by processing circuitry of the SDN controller, global network state information, configuring, by the processing circuitry, a notification service with a subscription for updates to a portion of the global network state information, wherein the notification service is configured to arrange the updates to the portion of the global network state information into a plurality of events, and distributing, by the notification service and via a plurality of interfaces, the plurality of events as event notifications to a plurality of subscriber micro-services of the SDN controller.

Oversubscribable resource allocation
There is disclosed in one example a computing apparatus, including: a hardware platform configured to communicatively couple with a multi-tenant cloud service, the multi-tenant cloud service including an oversubscribable resource; and a service assurance for oversubscribable resource (SAOR) engine configured to: receive tenant subscriptions to the oversubscribable resource, wherein tenant subscriptions exceed available instances of the oversubscribable resource; receive per-tenant quality of service (QoS) metrics for the oversubscribable resource; receive an allocation request from a guest for allocation of an instance of the oversubscribable resource; compare the request to currently-available instances of the oversubscribable resource; determine that the oversubscribable resource has capacity to service the request according to the QoS metrics of the tenant; and allocate an instance of the oversubscribable resource to the guest.
