Systems and methods for operations, administration and maintenance (OAM) in the physical coding sublayer (PCS)
Systems and methods described herein provide a method for operation, administration and maintenance (OAM) of data message transmission. The method comprises reading a transmit register of a transmitter associate with a first management entity to determine a transmit status of the transmit register. The method further comprises loading a data message into the transmit register when the transmit status of the transmit register indicates availability. The method further comprises embedding the data message as an out-of-band message with physical code sublayer modulation, and transmitting the out-of-band message on the physical code sublayer to a receiver associated with a second management entity. A transmit state machine of the transmitter and a receive state machine of the receiver establish a handshake to allow the out-of-band message to be passed asynchronously.
Service traffic replication and dynamic policy enforcement in a multi-cloud service mesh
In an embodiment, a data processing method comprises receiving, at a BIER replicator node that is programmed to implement Bit Index Explicit Replication (BIER) protocol, from a data source, a multicast stream packet identifying a service-level multicast group address; using the BIER replicator node, replicating the multicast stream packet according to BIER protocol and transmitting two or more replicated packet streams to two or more BIER receiver nodes that are programmed to implement BIER; using the two or more BIER receiver nodes, transmitting the two or more replicated packet streams to two or more receivers. Other embodiments may use modified iOAM (In-situ Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) techniques.
Data collection method and related device
In an embodiment, a data collection method includes: collecting, by a data collection device, performance indicator data of a target device based on a collection periodicity; detecting change amplitude of the collected performance indicator data that is in a change detection window, where the change detection window includes multiple collection periodicities; and when it is detected that change amplitude of the performance indicator data that is in the change detection window is greater than or equal to a change detection threshold, sending the performance indicator data that is in the change detection window to a data analysis device.
Data through gateway
A gateway for use in a computing system to interface a host with the subsystem for acting as a work accelerator to the host, the gateway having: an accelerator interface for connection to the subsystem to enable transfer of batches of data between the subsystem and the gateway; a data connection interface for connection to external storage for exchanging data between the gateway and storage; a gateway interface for connection to at least one second gateway; a memory interface connected to a local memory associated with the gateway; and a streaming engine for controlling the streaming of batches of data into and out of the gateway in response to pre-compiled data exchange synchronisation points attained by the subsystem, wherein the streaming of batches of data are selectively via at least one of the accelerator interface, data connection interface, gateway interface and memory interface.
TECHNIQUES FOR EFFICIENT SERVICE CHAIN ANALYTICS
A method is provided in one example embodiment and includes receiving at a network element an encapsulated packet including an encapsulation header, in which the encapsulation header includes an Analytics Proxy Function (“APF”) flag; determining whether the APF flag is set to a first value; if the APF flag is set to the first value, forwarding the encapsulated packet to a local APF instance associated with the network element, in which the encapsulated packet is processed by the local APF instance to replicate at least a portion of the encapsulated packet, construct a record of the encapsulated packet, or both; and if the APF flag is not set to the first value, omitting forwarding the encapsulated packet to the local APF instance associated with the network element. The local APF instance is implemented as a service function anchored at the forwarding element.
PARALLEL AND SEQUENTIAL EXECUTION OF AUTOMATED ONLINE CHARGING TEST PROCEDURES
Systems and methods are described herein for performing automated testing of online charging systems associated with telecommunications networks. In some embodiments, the systems and methods utilize various components associated with an online charging system, such as an event mediator, to convert data associated with test cases to be simulated by the online charging system (e.g., data from spreadsheets) into various test requests actionable during the online charging system under when simulating the test cases.
Switching between fault response models in a storage system
A storage system switching between mediation models within a storage system, where the switching between mediation models includes: determining, among one or more of the plurality of storage systems, a change in availability of a mediator service, wherein one or more of the plurality of storage systems are configured to request mediation from the mediator service in response to a fault; and communicating, among the plurality of storage systems and responsive to determining the change in availability of the mediator service, a fault response model to be used as an alternate to the mediator service among one or more of the plurality of storage systems.
MODIFYING AN ADDRESS TO FORWARD A PACKET TO A SERVICE FUNCTION
Some examples herein disclose identifying a service function chain based on a switch address from a packet. The examples disclose modifying the switch address to an address corresponding to a service function based on the identified service function chain. The examples also disclose forwarding the packet to the service function according to the modified switch address.
Resolving Mediator Unavailability
A storage system switching mediators within a storage system synchronously replicating data, where the switching between mediators includes: determining, among one or more of the plurality of storage systems, a change in availability of a first mediator service, wherein one or more of the plurality of storage systems are configured to request mediation from the first mediator service; communicating, among the plurality of storage systems and responsive to determining the change in availability of the first mediator service, a second mediator service to use in response to a fault; and switching, in dependence upon the change in availability of the first mediator service, from the first mediator service to the second mediator service.
MODEL DISCOVERY AND SELECTION FOR COOPERATIVE MACHINE LEARNING IN CELLULAR NETWORKS
An OAM core network may receive a request for a ML/NN model and features associated with a ML/NN procedure. The OAM core network may determine a latest update to the ML/NN model and features based on the request and generate a response to the request indicative of the latest update to the ML/NN model and features. In aspects, a base station may initiate the request for the ML/NN model and features by transmitting the request for the ML/NN model and features to the OAM core network. The base station may receive the generated response of the OAM core network based on the transmitted request. In further aspects, a UE may initiate the request for the ML/NN model and features by transmitting the request to the base station, where the UE may receive the ML/NN model and features from the base station based on the transmitted request.
