Delay Sensitive Network Estimation System
20230051166 · 2023-02-16 ·

A network traffic management system prepares a map showing network delays updated through the transmission of regularly time-stamped messages. This map is then employed to prioritize packets, address quality of service requirements, or drop expired/expiring packets.

MEDIA PACKET TRANSMISSION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
20230050923 · 2023-02-16 ·

Embodiments of this application provide a media packet transmission method, an apparatus, and a system that relate to the field of communication technologies. In an example method, a transmit end network element obtains a correspondence between an encoding type and a quality of service (QoS) flow. The transmit end network element is a user plane network element or a terminal. The QoS flow is used to transmit a media packet whose encoding type is the encoding type corresponding to the QoS flow. The transmit end network element identifies an encoding type of a received media packet, and sends, based on the correspondence through a QoS flow corresponding to the encoding type of the media packet, the media packet carrying information associated with the encoding type to an access network element.

Traffic detection method, apparatus, and system

A traffic detection method, apparatus, and system are provided. A first network device obtains a packet, where the packet is any packet of the traffic. The first network device adds a detection flag and detection indication information to the packet to update the packet, where the detection flag is used to indicate a position of the detection indication information, where the detection indication information includes a first flag, and the first flag is used to indicate whether the traffic is to-be-detected traffic. The first network device sends an updated packet to a second network device. According to this method, traffic performance is detected, and flexibility and extensiveness of traffic performance detection are improved.

Methods and apparatus for managing resource usage across domains in a communication network

A method (100) for managing resource usage across domains in a communication network is disclosed. The communication network comprises a radio access domain, a core domain and a transport domain providing connectivity between the radio access domain and the core domain. The method comprises receiving from the core domain an indication of load status of gateway nodes in the core domain (110), receiving from the transport domain an indication of load status of transport resources in the transport domain (120), normalising across the core and transport domain a cost of using resources in each domain (130), calculating, on the basis of the normalised costs, optimal chains of resources in the core and transport domains for providing a service from different radio access nodes to different possible Access Point Names (APNs) (140), and sending to the core and transport domains information about the calculated optimal resource chains (150). Also disclosed are methods for managing resource usage in a core domain, a transport domain and a radio access domain of a communication network, together with cross domain, core domain, transport domain and radio access domain control elements.

Learning technique for QoS based classification and prioritization of SAAS applications

The systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed towards a dynamic system that is configured to identify and map networked traffic, such as that of video, voice, file transfer, and web based applications to predetermined Quality of Service (QoS) classes. The different QoS classes can be associated with different traffic priorities. The networked traffic can be encrypted, which can prevent an intermediate device from processing or otherwise reading the packet headers of the traffic. The systems and methods of the present disclosure can predict QoS classes for encrypted traffic based on traffic patterns and other characteristics of the encrypted traffic.

A resource allocation method includes: obtaining, by a first network device, target resource reservation information based on a plurality of transmitted packets, where all of the packets carry a same virtual network identifier, and the virtual network identifier is used to indicate that the packets are transmitted through a same virtual network; and allocating a resource to the virtual network based on the target resource reservation information.

Advertising network layer reachability information specifying a quality of service for an identified network flow

Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for advertising network layer reachability information specifying a quality of service for an identified network flow are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein to specify quality of service for network flows include receiving network layer reachability information including a first quality of service class specified for a first network flow, the network layer reachability information having been advertised by a first network element that is to receive the first network flow. Such example methods can also include updating an incoming packet determined to belong to the first network flow to indicate that the incoming packet belongs to the first quality of service class, the incoming packet being received from a second network element. Such example methods can further include, after updating the incoming packet, routing the incoming packet towards the first network element.

INCIDENT RESPONSE AUTOMATION ENGINE

Systems, methods, and software described herein enhances how security actions are implemented within a computing environment. In one example, a method of implementing security actions for a computing environment comprising a plurality of computing assets includes identifying a security action in a command language for the computing environment. The method further provides identifying one or more computing assets related to the security action, and obtaining hardware and software characteristics for the one or more computing assets. The method also includes translating the security action in the command language to one or more action procedures based on the hardware and software characteristics, and initiating implementation of the one or more action procedures in the one or more computing assets.

A packet processing technique can include receiving a packet, and parsing the packet based on a protocol field to generate a parse result vector. The parse result vector is used to select between forwarding the packet to a virtual machine executing on a host processing integrated circuit, forwarding the packet to a physical media access controller, multicasting the packet to multiple virtual machines executing on the host processing integrated circuit, and sending the packet to a hypervisor.
