MEDIA PACKET TRANSMISSION METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM

Embodiments of this application provide a media packet transmission method, an apparatus, and a system that relate to the field of communication technologies. In an example method, a transmit end network element obtains a correspondence between an encoding type and a quality of service (QoS) flow. The transmit end network element is a user plane network element or a terminal. The QoS flow is used to transmit a media packet whose encoding type is the encoding type corresponding to the QoS flow. The transmit end network element identifies an encoding type of a received media packet, and sends, based on the correspondence through a QoS flow corresponding to the encoding type of the media packet, the media packet carrying information associated with the encoding type to an access network element.

PACKET TRANSMISSION METHOD AND COMMUNICATION DEVICE
20230047971 · 2023-02-16 ·

A packet transmission method is applied to a communication device including a first MPU, a second MPU, and an LPU. The first MPU is connected to the LPU through a first transmission channel. The second MPU is connected to the LPU through a second transmission channel. During packet transmission, a service flow packet is transmitted through the first transmission channel, and a non-service flow packet is transmitted through the second transmission channel. Therefore, the service flow packet and the non-service flow packet are processed by different MPUs, so that the service flow packet and the non-service flow packet do not compete with each other. In this way, transmission efficiency of the non-service flow packet is improved. In addition, when the first MPU is attacked by an abnormal service flow packet, the second MPU is not affected, and may normally perform operation and maintenance management.

System and methods to filter out noisy application signatures to improve precision of first packet classification

The systems and methods discussed herein provide for classifying CDN connections to the originating application on the first packet. In some implementations, the system identifies application connections established within a predetermined time period prior to the CDN connection and increments a value associated with these connections. The system classifies the CDN connection as corresponding to the application connection with the highest associated value, allowing routing of network traffic to take advantage of QoS benefits and reduce the need for deep packet inspection.

Learning technique for QoS based classification and prioritization of SAAS applications

The systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed towards a dynamic system that is configured to identify and map networked traffic, such as that of video, voice, file transfer, and web based applications to predetermined Quality of Service (QoS) classes. The different QoS classes can be associated with different traffic priorities. The networked traffic can be encrypted, which can prevent an intermediate device from processing or otherwise reading the packet headers of the traffic. The systems and methods of the present disclosure can predict QoS classes for encrypted traffic based on traffic patterns and other characteristics of the encrypted traffic.

Multi-level learning for classifying traffic flows on a first packet from DNS response data

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for multi-level classification of data traffic flows based on information in a first packet for a data traffic flow. In exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, a key can be generated from intercepted DNS data to track data traffic flows by application names and destination IP addresses. Based on these keys, patterns can be discerned to infer data traffic information based on only the information in a first packet, such as destination IP address. The determined patterns can be used to predict classifications of future traffic flows with similar key information. In this way, data traffic flows can be classified and steered in a network based on limited information available in a first packet.
