A system includes a virtual customer edge router and a host routed overlay comprising a plurality of host virtual machines. The system includes a routed uplink from the virtual customer edge router to one or more of the plurality of leaf nodes. The system is such that the virtual customer edge router is configured to provide localized integrated routing and bridging (IRB) service for the plurality of host virtual machines of the host routed overlay.
Methods and apparatus for flow control associated with a switch fabric
In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a flow control module configured to receive a first data packet from an output queue of a stage of a multi-stage switch at a first rate when an available capacity of the output queue crosses a first threshold. The flow control module is configured to receive a second data packet from the output queue of the stage of the multi-stage switch at a second rate when the available capacity of the output queue crosses a second threshold. The flow control module configured to send a flow control signal to an edge device of the multi-stage switch from which the first data packet or the second data packet entered the multi-stage switch.

DATA CENTER NETWORK WITH PACKET SPRAYING
A network system for a data center. In one example, a method comprises establishing, by a plurality of access nodes, a logical tunnel over a plurality of data paths across a switch fabric between a source access node and a destination access node included within the plurality of access nodes, wherein the source access node is coupled to a source network device; and spraying, by the source access node, a data flow of packets over the logical tunnel to the destination access node, wherein the source access node receives the data flow of packets from the source network device, and wherein spraying the data flow of packets includes directing each of the packets within the data flow to one of the data paths based on an amount of data previously transmitted on each of the plurality of data paths.
INPUT/OUTPUT SWITCH AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An aspect of the present invention provides an input/output switch including: a plurality of virtual switches formed by asymmetrically divided switches with symmetrically aligned ports; and ports on a side of end points and ports on a side of an intermediate switch allocated for each of the virtual switches, in which some of the ports of the virtual switches on the side of the end points act as ports that form a path that returns traffic among the virtual switches.

Independent datastore in a network routing environment
Systems, methods, and devices for offloading network data to a datastore. A system includes a publisher device in a network computing environment. The system includes a subscriber device in the network computing environment. The system includes a datastore independent of the publisher device and the subscriber device, the datastore comprising one or more processors in a processing platform configurable to execute instructions stored in non-transitory computer readable storage media. The instructions includes receiving data from the publisher device. The instructions include storing the data across one or more of a plurality of shared storage devices. The instructions include providing the data to the subscriber device.
Efficient Parallelized Computation of a BENES Network Configuration
A routing controller (30) includes an interface (68) and multiple processors (60) The interface is configured to receive a permutation (76) defining requested interconnections between N input ports and N output ports of a Benes network (24). The Benes network includes multiple 2-by-2 switches (42), and is reducible in a plurality of nested subnetworks associated with respective nesting levels, down to irreducible subnetworks including a single 2-by-2 switch. The multiple processors are configured to collectively determine a setting of the 2-by-2 switches that implements the received permutation, including determining sub-settings for two or more subnetworks of a given nesting level in parallel, and to configure the multiple 2-by-2 switches of the Benes network in accordance with the determined setting.
Packet control method, flow table update method, and node device
A packet control method, a flow table update method, and a node device including a first queue and a second queue, where the method includes: obtaining, by the node device, a first packet; determining, by the node device, that a data flow to which the first packet belongs is marked as an isolated flow; and if the first queue and/or the second queue meet and/or meets a first preset condition, controlling, by the node device, the first packet to enter the first queue and wait to be scheduled; or if the first queue and/or the second queue meet and/or meets a second preset condition, controlling, by the node device, the first packet to enter the second queue and wait to be scheduled.
Network interconnect as a switch
An interconnect as a switch module (“ICAS” module) comprising n port groups, each port group comprising n−1 interfaces, and an interconnecting network implementing a full mesh topology where each port group comprising a plurality of interfaces each connects an interface of one of the other port groups, respectively. The ICAS module may be optically or electrically implemented. According to the embodiments, the ICAS module may be used to construct a stackable switching device and a multi-unit switching device, to replace a data center fabric switch, and to build a new, high-efficient, and cost-effective data center.
