GENERATING AUGMENTED REALITY IMAGES FOR DISPLAY ON A MOBILE DEVICE BASED ON GROUND TRUTH IMAGE RENDERING
20230048235 · 2023-02-16 ·

Systems and methods are disclosed herein for monitoring a location of a client device associated with a transportation service and generating augmented reality images for display on the client device. The systems and methods use sensor data from the client device and a device localization process to monitor the location of the client device by comparing renderings of images captured by the client device to renderings of the vicinity of the pickup location. The systems and methods determine navigation instructions from the user's current location to the pickup location and select one or more augmented reality elements associated with the navigation instructions and/or landmarks along the route to the pickup location. The systems and methods instruct the client device to overlay the selected augmented reality elements on a video feed of the client device.

MAP-BASED GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE FOR MULTI-TYPE SOCIAL MEDIA GALLERIES

A social media platform provides a map-based graphical user interface (GUI) with multiple geographically anchored icons that are selectable to trigger playback of respective galleries of ephemeral messages. Each of the plurality of location-based ephemeral galleries comprises media content contributed by multiple different users. The ephemeral galleries are compiled based on geotag data associated with respective ephemeral messages submitted by multiple users to be publicly viewable via the map-based GUI. Two or more different types of galleries are represented in the map-based GUI by different, visually distinct types of gallery icon.

CONTENT TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS USING TERMINAL STORAGE DEVICE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

This disclosure relates to the 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data rate after the 4th generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The method for operating the core network in a wireless communication system according to this disclosure comprises the processes of determining the content to store in the terminal based on the location information of the terminal, transmitting the content transmission command to the base station so as to transmit the content to the terminal in response to the determination, checking whether the terminal has entered the overload cell, and forming a D2D communication link between the terminal and another adjacent terminal when it is identified that the terminal has entered the overload cell.

TECHNIQUES FOR MANAGING WIRELESS ANALYTICS IN SIDELINK COMMUNICATIONS
20230050720 · 2023-02-16 ·

Techniques for wireless communications are described. A first device may receive first control signaling that may indicate a second device in a wireless communications system. The first device may then identify, based on the received first control signaling, a set of devices for tracking the second device in the wireless communications system. In some examples, the first device may then transmit second control signaling to the identified set of devices for tracking the second device in the wireless communications system. The first device may then receive, based on the transmitted second control signaling, coordination information from the set of devices. The received coordination information may be associated with the second device. The coordination information collected by the set of devices may be used to predict changes in an environment surrounding the second device. By predicting dynamic changes in the environment, disruptions in wireless communication may be prevented.

URL normalization for rendering a service graph and aggregating metrics associated with a real user session

A method of normalizing URLs associated with a real user session comprises extracting uniform resource locators (URLs) from ingested spans where at least a portion of the URLs comprise unique URL strings. The method also comprises decomposing each of the URLs into a sequence of tokens and grouping together subsets of related URLs. Also, the method comprises representing each subset of related URLs with a normalized URL string.

Method for assisting unregistered user device to access private network service and communication system

The disclosure provides a method for assisting an unregistered user device to access private network services and a communication system. The method includes steps as follows. A request to access a private service of a private network is sent by a user device. In response to determining that the user device not registered on the private network wants to access the private service, the user device is assisted to obtain a temporary user profile by a mobile edge computing server through an emergency type attachment procedure. In response to determining that the user device is registered on the private network through the emergency type attachment procedure, a regular attachment procedure is executed by the user device based on the temporary user profile. In response to determining that the user device executes the regular attachment procedure, the mobile edge computing server provides the user device with the private service.

Method and system of managing radio connectivity of a vehicle

There are provided a method of managing radio connectivity of a vehicle and a system thereof. The method comprises: continuously receiving by vehicle's telematic system a predictive model generated by remote system using data continuously collected from a plurality of vehicles, wherein the collected data comprise, for each given vehicle of the plurality of vehicles, data informative of its location, speed and of Radio Access Technology (RAT)-related measurements; and, responsive to a predefined event, applying, by the telematic system, a lastly received predictive model to current values of a predefined set of inputs associated with the vehicle to obtain instructions and respectively provide corrective actions related to radio connectivity of the vehicle. The corrective actions include modifying RRC measurement report(s) so as to force the cellular network to provide one of: intra-RAT handover, inter-RAT handover; excluding available connectivity with undesired RAT or band; and terminating the radio connectivity with further RAT re-selecting.
