20230041276 · 2023-02-09 ·

Example devices, systems, and methods for emulating a PTT device at an incident location are provided. An example server receives a request for a remote push-to-talk (PTT) device to be emulated at a target location in a vicinity of an incident, selects local communication infrastructure that supports public safety services for local PTT devices located near the target location, and ransmits, to the local communication infrastructure, instructions for the local communication infrastructure to register an emulated PTT device as a proxy for the remote PTT device at the target location.

METHOD FOR ACCESSING A ROAMING DEVICE AND CORRESPONDING PROXY NETWORK

A roaming device sends, through a visited network and a proxy network, to a home network, an identifier for a first subscription. The home network sends, through the proxy network, to the visited network, data relating to the first subscription. The proxy network sends to the home network a first temporary address. The visited network sends to the proxy network a second temporary address. The device activates a second subscription. The device sends, through the visited network and the proxy network, to the roaming provider network, an identifier for the second subscription. The roaming provider network sends, through the proxy network, to the visited network, data relating to the second subscription. The proxy network registers the first subscription identifier, the second subscription identifier, the first temporary address and the second temporary address. The proxy network sends to the roaming provider network the first temporary address.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING INTERCONNECTION OF VIRTUAL NETWORK FUNCTIONS

A method and apparatus is disclosed herein for use of a connectivity manager and a network infrastructure including the same. In one embodiment, the network infrastructure comprises one or more physical devices communicably coupled into a physical network infrastructure or via the overlay provided by the physical servers; and a virtual network domain containing a virtual network infrastructure executing on the physical network infrastructure. In one embodiment, the virtual network domain comprises one or more virtual network functions connected together through one or more links and executing on the one or more physical devices, and one or more interfaces coupled to one or more network functions via one or more links to communicate data between the virtual network domain and at least one of the one or more physical devices of the physical network infrastructure while the virtual network domain is isolated from other virtual infrastructures executing on the physical network infrastructure.

PROXIED PUSH
20180013851 · 2018-01-11 · ·

A system and method are described for establishing two-way push communication between an intermediate or companion device and a mobile device. Mobile devices register to listen for push notifications delivered through a push notification service from a specified set of providers. The presence of the mobile devices is delivered to the push notification service that maps the mobile devices to connections made between their respective companion devices and the push notification service. If the push notification service determines that a mobile device is “online,” in response to receiving a push notification for the mobile device, a current network connection over which a companion device is listening for push notifications is identified and the push notification is forwarded to the companion device. The companion device then can deliver the push notification to the mobile device.

MOBILE APPLICATION BASED ACCOUNT AGGREGATION

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for automating the collection of user information for account aggregation. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, at a server computer system from a mobile device of a user, a first user request to access account information; receiving, at the server computer system from a provider computer system, a plury of mobile device applications; for each respective establishment of the plurality of establishments: storing, at the server computer system, establishment login credentials of the user to access account information of the user at a computer system of the respective establishment, and obtaining account information of the user at the respective establishment; aggregating, on the computer system, all the account information of the user from the respective mobile device application of each establishment; and providing to the mobile device the aggregated account information of the user.

System and Method for Improving Internet Communication by Using Intermediate Nodes
20230007101 · 2023-01-05 ·

A method for fetching a content from a web server to a client device is disclosed, using tunnel devices serving as intermediate devices. The client device accesses an acceleration server to receive a list of available tunnel devices. The requested content is partitioned into slices, and the client device sends a request for the slices to the available tunnel devices. The tunnel devices in turn fetch the slices from the data server, and send the slices to the client device, where the content is reconstructed from the received slices. A client device may also serve as a tunnel device, serving as an intermediate device to other client devices. Similarly, a tunnel device may also serve as a client device for fetching content from a data server. The selection of tunnel devices to be used by a client device may be in the acceleration server, in the client device, or in both. The partition into slices may be overlapping or non-overlapping, and the same slice (or the whole content) may be fetched via multiple tunnel devices.

Generating, at least in part, and/or receiving, at least in part, at least one request

In an embodiment, an apparatus is provided that may include circuitry to generate, at least in part, and/or receive, at least in part, at least one request that at least one network node generate, at least in part, information. The information may be to permit selection, at least in part, of (1) at least one power consumption state of the at least one network node, and (2) at least one time period. The at least one time period may be to elapse, after receipt by at least one other network node of at least one packet, prior to requesting at least one change in the at least one power consumption state. The at least one packet may be to be transmitted to the at least one network node. Of course, many alternatives, modifications, and variations are possible without departing from this embodiment.

Service-function chaining using extended service-function chain proxy for service-function offload
11570091 · 2023-01-31 · ·

An extended service-function chain (SFC) proxy is hosted on a network node and connected to a service path formed by one or more network nodes hosting a chain of service-functions applied to packets traversing the service path. The packets each include a service header having a service path identifier and a service index. A packet of a traffic flow destined for a service-function is received from the service path and sent to the service-function. An indication to offload the traffic flow is received from the service-function. The indication is stored in a flow table having entries each identifying a respective traffic flow. A subsequent packet of the traffic flow is received from the service path. The flow table is searched for the indication to offload the traffic flow. Upon finding the indication, the service-function is bypassed, and the subsequent packet is forwarded along the service path.

Edge computing platform capability discovery

Systems and methods for establishing a connection with an edge application server are provided. A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication network establishes a connection with an edge application server to offload the data processing of an application executing on the UE to the edge application server. The UE communicates key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with the application to the edge data network. The KPIs indicate the resources that application uses to process the data. In response, the UE receives edge application server parameters from multiple servers in the edge data network that meet or exceed the KPIs. The parameters include compute, graphical compute, memory and storage parameters with various levels of specificity. The UE selects one of the edge application servers to process the data on behalf of the application based on the parameters.
