Disclosed are various embodiments for generating a list of predicted contacts that can be provided to a client device. The predicted contacts can be generated based upon an analysis of user interaction data. The predicted contacts can be made available to a phone application or messaging application on a client device so that contact information can be displayed in response to an incoming call or a message.

The method includes: determining, when text information containing many characters is created, whether the text information conforms to one of preset grammatical constraints; extracting, when the text information conforms to one of the grammatical constraints, tokens of one or more of characters from the text information, and extracting, when the text information does not conform to one of the grammatical constraints, one or more characters having an attribute probability higher than a reference probability as a token; and analyzing the extracted tokens to determine a function to handle the extracted tokens, and executing the determined function based on the extracted tokens.

When the terminal device makes a call or receives an incoming call, the terminal device displays a first call interface, where the first call interface includes prompt information, and where the prompt information includes the association relationship between the first number and the first application.

A caller identification display method includes a terminal device sending a first request to a server of a first application, where the first request is used by the terminal device to subscribe to a first service. After receiving the request sent by the terminal device, the server of the first application sends a first response to the terminal device. The server of the first application sends a first number to the terminal device. The terminal device obtains an association relationship between the first number and the first application. When the terminal device makes a call or receives an incoming call, the terminal device displays a first call interface, where the first call interface includes prompt information, and where the prompt information includes the association relationship between the first number and the first application.

An example method of suggesting contacts in a communications routing system includes: routing, via a routing engine, communications events between a communications device and a plurality of further communications devices coupled to the communications routing system as VoIP calls using respective VoIP telephone numbers; storing, for a user account associated with the communications device, a contact database representing VoIP telephone numbers stored in a contact tracking application of the communications device; storing, in the contact database for the user account, a log of communications events including a record for each new telephone number; and when the record for a new telephone number satisfies a threshold condition, providing a prompt, at the communications device, to add the new telephone number to the contact tracking application.

The present invention provides a contact management application, implemented on a smart phone, said application comprised of: Call tracker module for identifying end of call; Voice recording module, which is configured to be activated upon identifying end of call, for recording short message by the smart phone user, wherein the recording is activated for predefined time period or upon receiving an indication from the user to end the recording; Contact management module for creating automatically new contact record upon identifying end of call in case the call number is not in the contact list of the smart mobile phone, wherein the contact record includes at least: the call number, time and date of the call and the recorded short message.
