A VoIP communication service using communication tokens, such as QR codes, to identify the receivers can provide callers with the ability to communicate with the receivers using VoIP technology, without the need to pre-registering with the VoIP service provider that hosts the communication. The tokens can be customized by having a profile, which can include conditions imposed by the receivers on the callers. The tokens can be used in a call center to provide VoIP communication services.

Communication between an owner of a lost tracking device and a finder of a lost tracking device is established. A tracking system receives an identifier of a tracking device and a request for a web page from a mobile device that has captured an image of a smart code on the tracking device. The smart code is embedded with a URL to the web page. The system displays the web page on the mobile device and prompts the user to provide a location of the mobile device. The location is associated with the identifier of the tracking device. A notification indicating the location of the tracking device is generated for the owner. The owner is prompted to provide information to establish contact with the finder of the device, and the web page is populated with the owner's provided information for display on the finder's mobile device.

The method includes following steps: buying a deposit code on the web-site or obtaining it sent from others; surfing a user interface of an activating data server; inputting the deposit code into the user interface to generate an activate identification data; scanning the activate identification data by a scanner to generate a shortcut icon on a monitor of the scanner; transmitting a dialed command to a connection generation server by triggering the shortcut icon; using the dialed command to establish a communication link between the at least two electronic devices by the connection generation server.
