METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING INSTANT APPLICATION MESSAGES
A method for processing instant application messages is provided. The method is performed by a device and includes: receiving, by a modem of the device, an instant application message transmitted from an application server to an application processor of the device; determining, by the modem, whether the application processor is in a sleeping mode and the instant application message is an emergency message; and transmitting, by the modem, the instant application message to a co-processor of the device to cache the instant application message when the application processor is in the sleeping mode and the instant application message is not an emergency message.

AMBIENT SOUND EVENT DETECTION AND RESPONSE SYSTEM
A computer implemented method includes: capturing an ambient sound event; determining whether the ambient sound event matches at least one of a plurality of pre-identified sound events stored in a computer storage; generating a prompt via the user interface for a user to confirm that a response is needed; determining whether to initiate a response based on the user's response to the prompt.
COMMUNITY SAFETY, SECURITY, HEALTH COMMUNICATION AND EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM WITH INTER-ORGANIZATIONAL COMPATIBILITY
A community safety system (CSS) including a notification management entity (NME) comprising servers, the NME communicatively coupled to multiple user devices and one or more administrator devices (collectively, registered user devices). The CSS includes a plurality of registered users, wherein each registered user is associated with an organization, and a user category of a set of user categories. The NME may maintain a list of the registered users and associated information. The registered users may have user devices including a CSS application operating thereon. In some embodiments the CSS enables inter-organizational communication, allowing for members of a first organization to provide alerts that the NME can pass to a second organization when the registered user is physically located within a security zone associated with a second organization but not a member of the second organization.

Garment with an emergency device and associated emergency method
A garment is intended to identify a danger situation for the user and react. The garment comprises an emergency device provided with sensors. Furthermore, the emergency device comprises an electronic processing unit and a supervisor and communication unit. The supervisor and communication unit, after being informed of the danger situation by the electronic processing unit, monitors the user by means of the sensors and assesses the level of user activity in order to decide or not to call for further assistance.
Hands-free device, hands-free system, and data transfer method
A hands-free device enables a hands-free call by being wirelessly connected to a mobile phone. The hands-free device incudes a hardware processor configured to: perform a control related to data transfer using a transfer protocol for implementing transfer of history data including incoming call history data and outgoing call history data, and phone book data stored in the mobile phone when the mobile phone is in a wireless connection area; receive the history data and the phone book data from the mobile phone through communication using the transfer protocol; and store the history data and the phone book data that are received. The hardware processor is configured to perform the control to transfer the history data prior to the phone book data.
Autonomous lifebuoy
An autonomous lifebuoy includes a body, an electric power supply, a propelling module and a control unit configured to control the autonomous lifebuoy so as to automatically guide the autonomous lifebuoy towards a person overboard in water, during a man overboard (MOB) situation. The control unit includes at least one communication module, a non-volatile memory, a graphics processing unit (GPU) configured to perform an image comparison and a microcomputer configured to make calculations, based on at least the image comparison performed by the graphics processing unit (GPU), and issue commands to at least the propelling module to propel the autonomous lifebuoy towards the person overboard in the water during the man overboard (MOB) situation.
