Location determination and telephone number distribution for emergency calls
Location determination and telephone number distribution for emergency calls is enabled by a telephony system which maintains multiple pools of telephone numbers. Each pool corresponds to a different region such that the pools of telephone numbers are defined at the region-level rather than at the site-level. The telephony system determines the location of a calling device initiating an emergency call regardless of whether the calling device is at a known site. Based on the determined location of the calling device, one of the pools of telephone numbers which corresponds to that location is selected. The telephony system thereafter distributes a telephone number for the calling device to use for the emergency call from that selected pool of telephone numbers to facilitate an emergency call between the calling device and a local public safety answering point.
OPTIMIZED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NOTIFYING A CALLED PARTY OF A CALL ATTEMPT
A system and method for notifying a called party of a call attempt is provided. The method comprises initiating a communication request by a calling party; routing the communication request to an intelligent network via an mobile service center; validating the communication request by the intelligent network; and handing over the communication request to an intelligent platform by the intelligent network in the event of a nonstandard trigger event such as calling party insufficient balance. The processing of communication request by the intelligent platform includes monitoring number of call attempts, introducing a delay in sending notification, monitoring availability of called party and performing one or more actions based on the delay and the availability of the called party.
System and method for intent-based active callback management
A system and method for intent-based active callback management, utilizing a cloud callback system comprising at least a profile manager, callback manager, interaction manager, media server, and environment analyzer, allowing users to call businesses, agents in contact centers, or other users who are connected to a cloud callback system, and, failing to connect to the individual they called, allow for an automatic callback object to be created, whereby the two users may be automatically called and bridged together at a time when both users are available.
Method and system for configuring caller line identification for short message service
A method performed by, and a system embedded within, a communication device operating in a communication network, performing the steps of: obtaining a plurality of caller identification codes for the caller device, where each of the caller identification codes identifies the caller device in a network; obtaining at least one rule for selecting a caller identification code from the plurality of caller identification codes according to a characteristic of the called device; obtaining a characteristic of the called device; selecting a caller identification code from the plurality of caller identification codes according to the characteristic of the destination telephone identification, or caller environment or destination environment parameters, or caller decision on the time of making the call; and forwarding the selected caller identification code to any of another communication network and a terminal device of a communication network.
System and method for managing routing of customer calls to agents
A call management system of a call center retrieves from a customer database enterprise customer data associated with an identified customer in a customer call, which may include customer event data, attributions data, and activity event data. The customer database tracks prospects, leads, new business, and purchasers of an enterprise. The system retrieves customer demographic data associated with the identified customer. A predictive model is selected from a plurality of predictive models based on retrieved enterprise customer data. The selected predictive model, including a logistic regression model, and tree-based model, determines a value prediction signal for the identified customer, then classifies the identified customer into a first value group or a second value group. The system routes a customer call classified in the first value group to a first call queue assignment, and routes a customer call classified in the second value group to a second call queue assignment.
Enhanced abandoned call recovery for a contact center
An enhanced abandoned call recovery (“E-ACR”) process allows certain abandoned calls to be eligible for a callback call. An E-ACR assignment point defines which abandoned calls in an inbound campaign or interactive voice response (“IVR”) menu are eligible to be processed to determine whether the E-ACR callback should occur. The determination of whether a callback occurs involves various compliance tests, such as ensuring calling window, call attempts, and other regulatory concerns are addressed. Once a callback is determined to occur, it is associated with a specific campaign to ensure the called party is provided with agents having the skill set as defined for that assignment point. In this manner, only eligible callers receive an E-ACR callback, and further receive the callback in a compliant manner and handled by the same skill set of agents as would have been allocated to the caller had they not abandoned their call.
Method and system for providing a seamless handoff from a voice channel to a call agent
The method and system may provide a seamless handoff of user information from a drugstore to a call agent. When a customer communicates with a drugstore device regarding a drugstore-related inquiry, the drugstore device attempts to identify an answer to the drugstore-related inquiry. When the drugstore device does not identify an answer to the drugstore-related inquiry, the drugstore device initiates communication between the customer and a contact center. A transcribed version of the communication may be stored in a database accessible by the contact center along with additional user information for the customer related to the customer's experiences with the drugstore. The user information may be provided to a call agent's contact center device for display and in this manner, the call agent may be made aware of the communication to avoid asking repeat questions and to quickly and efficiently answer the customer's drugstore-related inquiry.
Missed communication notification
A device implementing a system for missed communication notification may include at least one processor configured to receive, from a server over a first communication channel, a message indicating that another device initiated a communication with the device over a second communication channel at a particular time. The at least one processor may be further configured to determine, by the device, whether the communication was established with the other device over the second communication channel at the particular time. The at least one processor may be further configured to provide, for display, an indication of the message based at least in part on a determination that the communication initiated by the other device was not established over the second communication channel at the particular time.
Trigger management for roaming calls in IMS networks
An IP Multimedia Subsystem Service Control Point (IMS-SCP) module of a carrier network may provide trigger management for a request for a circuit switched (CS) call. For example, an IMS-SCP module may receive an request for a CS call associated with a user equipment. The IMS-SCP module may determine handling of the request for the CS call includes one or more first operations by a first feature platform and one or more second operations by a second feature platform. In response to the determining, the IMS-SCP module may perform trigger management associated with the request for the CS call. The trigger management may include invoking, by the IMS-SCP module, the one or more first operations of the first feature platform and, subsequent to the invoking the one or more first operations, invoking the one or more second operations of the second feature platform.
Routing incoming calls made to one or more unreachable numbers into a data client
A method and a call routing system (CRS) are provided for routing an incoming call made to one of multiple numbers of a user to a call receiving client application (CRCA) deployed on one or more user devices when the called number is not reachable. The CRS, in communication with the CRCA deployed on one or more user devices, sets up a user account using one or more of the user's multiple numbers. The CRS detects availability of the CRCA on one or more user devices over a data network to accept an incoming call. The CRS receives the incoming call made to one of the numbers, when the called number is not reachable. The CRS routes the incoming call to the CRCA on one or more user devices over the data network on detecting the availability of the CRCA on one or more user devices over the data network.
