Providing audio announcement to called parties

The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer-readable medium for providing audio announcement of communications to a called party in a communication network. The method includes receiving communication from a calling party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database via an Internet Protocol connection based on an identifier of at least one of the calling party and the called party. The information comprises one or more audio files. The method then provides the audio announcement to a called party based on the audio files.

METHOD AND SERVER FOR PROVIDING ON-SCREEN AUTOMATIC RESPONSE SERVICE USING AUTOMATIC POP-UP THROUGH VOICE CALL AUTO-REPLY

Disclosed are a method and server for providing an on-screen automatic response service using automatic pop-up through a voice call auto-reply. A method of providing an on-screen automatic response service (ARS) through a voice call auto-reply includes receiving a voice call from a mobile terminal, checking whether a software development kit (SDK), which is necessary to execute program location information (URL) for providing the ARS on the mobile terminal directly without user intervention, is installed, and executing the program location information (URL) directly without user intervention to provide the ARS or providing the program location information (URL) to the mobile terminal and providing the ARS according to an execution command for the program location information (URL) received from a user depending on whether the software development kit is installed. Accordingly, a separate database for checking the installation of a separate SDK is not required, and multiple steps for inquiry are not required. Thus, it is possible to simplify configuration, improve service speed, and also reduce operating costs.

MULTI-MODAL APPROACH TO A SECURE AND CLOSED SOLUTION FOR PROVIDING SCHEDULED NOTIFICATIONS

A multi-modal portal system provides an authorization prior to establishing a visual interface connection between a support user or caller and a client user or receiving party. Once the caller is authorized, the caller is permitted to drop-in such that a visual interface connection is established with the receiving party. The authorization can be based on a profile configuration that indicates whether the caller has the credentials required for the visual interface. The authorization can require that a notification be sent to a trusted user or primary contact or the caller can be associated with a profile configuration that allows for a pre-authorization without requiring the notification. Also, a schedule associated with the profile configuration can ensure a video notification of one or more scheduling parameters to the client user as well as the receipt of a video response from the client user.

System and Method for Improving Call Center Communications

Methods and systems route requests for service in a call center. A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores data representative of a queue of customers waiting to be serviced. A processor queues a request for service initiated by a customer. Data output is sent to the customer to ascertain the customer's cause for the request via a data communication channel. Data input is received from the customer via the data communication channel. The data input indicates the customer's cause for the request. An agent is identified from a plurality of agents suitable to address the customer's cause for the request. The customer's position is adjusted in the queue based on the identified agent. A routing instruction is determined about routing the request to the identified agent.

Facilitation of adaptive dejitter buffer between mobile devices

A more efficient network can be achieved by leveraging an adaptive dejitter buffer. The dejitter buffer can be dynamically adjusted based off a network data analysis. The dejitter buffer memory/depth of a mobile device can be adjusted in accordance with receiving a delay interruption length and out-of-order packet data associated with another mobile device. Thereafter, the dejitter buffer memory can be filled with voice packet data to decrease a packet delay variation at the mobile device.

A calling method for use in a terminal configured to communicate with a device, includes: establishing a data channel with the device for assisting a call, when the terminal is conducting the call with the device through a voice channel; and exchanging interaction information with the device through the data channel, the interaction information being configured to assist a first user of the terminal and a second user of the device in coordinating and interacting when conducting the call.

CALL PROCESSING METHOD AND DEVICE

The present invention provides a call processing method and a device. The call processing method includes: receiving, by a customized alerting tone server, a call request sent by a calling terminal, and forwarding the call request to a called terminal; receiving a called terminal ringing message, and playing a customized alerting tone audio stream and a customized alerting tone video stream to the calling terminal; receiving a called terminal message indicating that a called user answers a call, and performing call media resource negotiation and customized alerting tone video resource negotiation with the calling terminal; and stopping playing the customized alerting tone audio stream to the calling terminal, and playing the customized alerting tone video stream to the calling terminal. The customized alerting tone continuous playing solution of the present invention enriches user experience and improves network usage.

Broadcasting system

A broadcasting system provides a telephone number as identity information during a registration process of a user equipment intended to be used as a user broadcasting equipment. The telephone number is one of many telephone numbers associated with the broadcasting system. During the registration process in which the user equipment is identified as a user broadcasting equipment, various information associated with the user equipment are obtained and stored. The identity information, i.e., the telephone number, maps to the stored information such that when the user equipment is used to dial the provided telephone number, the broadcasting system automatically recognizes the user equipment is making a dial to broadcast request. Upon checking the stored information associated with the user equipment, the broadcasting system allows the user equipment to broadcast to one or more other user equipment registered as listeners to a scheduled broadcast.

DETECTION AND PREVENTION OF INFLATED PLAYS OF AUDIO OR VIDEO CONTENT
20170324819 · 2017-11-09 ·

Some listeners or viewers of online music or video may play the music or video repeatedly without actually listening to or watching the music or video, thereby wasting network resources, reducing bandwidths to other users, and slowing down or creating latency for the downloading of music or video by other users who actually listen to or watch the music or video. In some instances, owners of music or video content may encourage their fans to play the music or video repeatedly to increase their popularity ratings or copyright royalties. Inflated plays of music or video may be detected by applying one or more modifications to the music and monitoring for reactions by users, if any, to the modifications. The lack of a reaction by a user may indicate an inflated playback, whereas the presence of a reaction may indicate that the playback is legitimate.

COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD OF PROCESSING AN EMERGENCY INCIDENT AND EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method of processing an emergency incident reported to a PSAP by a plurality of callers can include checking, at the PSAP, if video calls have been received from the same specified location within a predetermined time period, and if it is determined that there are such further video calls, feeding at least a part of the video call and the further video calls to a ML classifier unit. The ML Classifier unit can identify if there are similarities between the video call and the further video calls. If there exists similarity between the video call and at least one further video call, a determination about which one of the video calls t uses less resources (e.g. less bandwidth). That video call can then be utilized and other similar calls can be adjusted to reduce the bandwidth further (e.g. converted to audio calls, etc.).
