Inspection system, design apparatus, and inspection method that generate correct answer data with design apparatus for production printing
Provided is an inspection system that can inspect variable printing in production printing with a plurality of apparatuses. This system is the inspection system that includes a design apparatus and an inspection apparatus for production printing. The design unit designs variable print data. The correct answer generation unit generates correct answer data for inspection when the variable print data is created by the design unit. The correct answer change unit acquires the processing information at the time of prepress and reflects it in the correct answer data generated by the correct answer generating unit. The output unit outputs the correct answer data changed by the correct answer change unit. The inspection unit inspects the printed matter based on the correct answer data generated by the design apparatus.
Data transmission system and data transmission method suitable for detecting problems in image processing
Provided is a data transmission system for detecting and predicting the occurrence of problems in image processing of a printing job before starting printing. A gateway registers a printing job that is received from a user terminal in memory, then transmits the printing job to a MFP. The MFP transmits printing data information to the gateway indicating the data amount in time when an image processing unit performs image processing on the printing job. The user terminal transmits printing data information to the gateway indicating the data amount in time when a simulated image processing unit perform a simulation process on the printing job. The gateway compares the printing data information, and when there is a difference in data amounts, registers problem information in memory indicating that there is a problem in image processing by the simulated image processing unit or the image processing unit.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATICALLY SAVING POWER DURING AN UPGRADE OF A DEVICE
The disclosure describes methods and systems for power saving during an upgrade at a device such as a multi-function device. The device includes one or more modules, wherein each module is having an independent power supply. An application runs on the device to identify whether an upgrade is available at the multi-function device. Then, the application identifies one or more modules requiring the upgrade. Once the modules are identified, upgrade for the one or more identified modules is initiated by continuing to provide power to the identified modules. And power to the remaining modules i.e., modules not requiring any upgrade, is disabled from the start of the upgrade process till completion of the upgrade process in order to save overall power consumption of the device.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD
There are provided an image processing device and an image processing method capable of efficiently specifying an abnormal sound in case of the occurrence of malfunction that is an important element to clarify the cause of the malfunction. The image processing device includes acquisition means, playing means, changing means, and determination means. The acquisition means acquires a plurality of kinds of sound data indicating sounds different from each other. The playing means plays one kind of sound data from the sound data. The changing means changes the one sound data to another kind of sound data. The determination means determines one kind of sound data from the sound data.
SCAN CARRIAGE OF A PRINT APPARATUS
Example implementations relate to a scan carriage of a print apparatus. In some examples, a system may include a print carriage to transit across a print zone of the print apparatus and a scan carriage selectably attachable to the print carriage to transit across the print zone of the print apparatus.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for determining a response to corrective step
An information processing apparatus includes a controller that performs control to cause a related device to perform a corrective step, the related device installed in an organization in which a target device is installed, if a condition to determine that the target device is in a verification necessity status is satisfied in response to presence or absence of a notification repeatedly received from the target device, and a determination unit that determines a necessity for dispatching a maintenance crew to the target device in response to results of the corrective step.
Color calibration
A method of calibrating a printing system. Data defining a color mapping that maps a first set of n-dimensional color Input points to a corresponding second set of n-dimensional color output points, the color mapping representing a measured behavior of the printing system, is obtained. A smoothed mapping function of color input points that satisfies a predetermined optimization condition based on a mapping error between the smoothed mapping function and the color mapping is determined. The mapping error is a function of individual errors between outputs of the smoothed mapping function as applied to respective color input points in the first set of color input points and corresponding color output points from the second set of color output points as mapped from the respective color input points by the color mapping. The smoothed mapping function is used to calibrate the printing system.
