In a content management system, a still image generation unit generates at least one piece of still image data based on moving image data. A still image selection unit causes a user to select one piece of still image data from among the generated at least one piece of still image data. A management marker registration unit registers the selected still image data or information based on the selected still image data as a management marker in association with the moving image data. An access key issuing unit issues an access key for accessing the moving image data. And a management image generation unit generates management image data including the still image data and the access key.

Different aspects of the disclosure relate to either transmitting at least one portion of at least one image representation from, or receiving at least one portion of the at least one image representation at, a shared image device in a manner at least partially relying on a positioning of the shared image device within a sharing region.

In a method of filtering an image from data received from a CMOS camera, image data is loaded by a computational device from the camera. Camera parameters corresponding to the CMOS camera are loaded. Fixed pattern noise associated with the camera is removed based on the camera parameters. A readout noise estimation based on characteristics of the camera and filtering estimated readout noise from the image data is generated. Sparse filtering: selecting sub-frames within the image that have similar features; applying a three-dimensional transform on the sub-frames transforming the sub-frame data into a non-two-dimensional domain and generating a first transformed data set; filtering noise data from the first transformed data set to generate a first thresholded image data set; and applying a reverse three-dimensional transform on the first thresholded image data set so as to generate an image.

A method for proactively creating an image product includes capturing an image of an object in a first environment by a device, storing a library of personalized products each characterized by a product type, automatically recognizing the object in the image as having a product type associated with the library of personalized products, automatically creating a design for the personalized product of the product type using personalized content, automatically displaying the design of the personalized product of the product type incorporating the selected photo in the first environment on the device, and manufacturing a physical product based on the design of the personalized product.

A computer system for selecting image products includes a display for displaying digital images, and for displaying representations of image products. Digital images are composited into the displayed representations to form digitally composited image product views. Programming controls displaying the composited image product views separately from the unselected representations. One or more of the displayed composited image product views are selected and assembled or fabricated.

A method for controlling an image processing apparatus including specifying one or a plurality of pieces of image data; generating a new template based on a feature of the specified one or plurality of pieces of image data, the generated new template including at least one or a plurality of slots for which the specified one or plurality of pieces of image data are laid out; and generating a layout image by laying out the specified one or plurality of pieces of image data to the one or plurality of slots included in the generated new template.

Disclosed herein are embodiments for operating a retail photo kiosk and establishing a dedicated access for a remote mobile device to the photo kiosk. Certain embodiments of the photo kiosk incorporate anchored connector cables to connect remote mobile devices to the photo kiosk. According to one embodiment, the photo kiosk detects when a remote mobile device is connected to the kiosk via an anchored connector cable. Upon receiving user information, the photo kiosk generates and sends an access message comprising to the connected mobile device. Following the access message, the user may establish dedicated access to the photo kiosk through the mobile device, which allows the user to utilize and leverage photo processing features of the kiosk.
