The CPU projects the overlap deleted print image onto an object to be printed.

Based on pixel information of a target image selected from a plurality of images, an information processing apparatus specifies whether the target image is to be used for an album, and sets a template based on a condition for creating the album. The information processing apparatus places on the set template the target image to be used for the album according to the specifying.

A computer-implemented method programmed for execution in a computing environment for recommending at least one substrate to be used in conjunction with a digital image to form a print product is provided. The method comprises: providing a digital image; providing a list of available substrates stored in a memory; utilizing a processor, analyzing the digital image to identify at least one of: image content included in the digital image, or at least one image characteristic included in the digital image; utilizing the processor, automatically selecting at least one substrate size to be used to form a print product based on at least one of the identified image content or the identified at least one image characteristic; automatically identifying at least one substrate from the list of available substrates based on the selected at least one substrate size; and displaying the identified at least one substrate on a display.

There are provided a digital camera with a printer, a printing method of a digital camera with a printer, and a data storage system which are capable of simply generating a printout capable of playing sound.

In a case where image data associated with sound data is printed, a digital camera with a printer adds unique identification information, and uploads the image data and the sound data to a data storage server through an upload terminal. A two-dimensional code obtained by encoding access information for accessing uploaded data is added to an image, and the image is printed on an instant film. The image data and the sound data stored in the data storage server can be downloaded and played on the data playback terminal by reading the two-dimensional code printed with the image on the instant film by a data playback terminal.

The method comprises: providing a digital image; providing a list of available substrates stored in a memory; utilizing a processor, analyzing the digital image to identify image content and at least one image characteristic included in the digital image; automatically identifying at least one substrate from the list of available substrates utilizing the processor based on at least one of the identified image content or the identified at least one image characteristic; displaying the identified at least one substrate on a display; and allowing for the selection of the identified at least one substrate for fulfillment to produce a print product including the digital image disposed on the selected at least one substrate.

Described herein is a multi-user retail photo kiosk system that includes multiple touch screen and Graphic User Interface (GUI) controlled consumer photo editing, photo print and product selection, and photo order placement terminals and multiple photo printers. The user photo kiosk terminals can receive images. Billing and payment is accomplished using barcoded receipts provided at the user terminal for payments for purchased photo products. A printer array incorporating various printers capable of producing prints or various sizes and formats can be configured as a horizontal counter or as a vertical tower and includes means to alert the user that their photo print order is complete. In addition, the system automatically notifies operators if equipment service, maintenance, media refilling, and/or post printing finishing procedures are required.

When communication with a portable communication device has been enabled, the communication unit acquires present route information from the portable communication device.
