A contextual local image recognition module of a device retrieves a primary content dataset from a server and then generates and updates a contextual content dataset based on an image captured with the device. The device stores the primary content dataset and the contextual content dataset. The primary content dataset comprises a first set of images and corresponding virtual object models. The contextual content dataset comprises a second set of images and corresponding virtual object models retrieved from the server.

To enable a user to more easily set a rule relating to folder allocation and file naming at the time of filing data, such as a document scanned image and a received facsimile, and storing the file. On a user interface screen for setting a rule relating to property information that is used at the time of allocating a file to a folder for storage, at least a first area for editing the rule and a second area displaying an item a user can select are provided. The item is a unit element for a user to set a character string configuring the property information and corresponds to a character string of an arbitrary attribute a user can set. Then, the rule is created by the item selected by a user from the second area being arranged at a position designated by the user in the first area.

A server includes: a memory storing printing configuration rules for interfacing with a printing system; a communications interface configured to communicate with a client device; a processor interconnected with the memory and the communications interface, the processor configured to: generate a print system network identifier mapped to the printing system, the print system network identifier configured for identifying print parameters for print jobs; receive, via the communications interface, a print request from the client device, the print request generated based on the print system network identifier and including one or more print parameters for a print job; and send a print instruction to the printing system to initiate the print job at the printing system according to the one or more print parameters, the print instruction generated according to the printing configuration rules.

The image forming apparatus includes an identification unit configured to identify a capability of a wireless LAN chip connected to the image forming apparatus, a reception unit configured to receive an instruction to import a setting value, a determination unit configured to determine whether the wireless LAN chip connected to the image forming apparatus is operable at the setting value based on the identified capability, and a reflection unit configured to reflect the setting value for the wireless LAN chip connected to the image forming apparatus in a case where it is determined that the wireless LAN chip connected to the image forming apparatus is operable at the setting value.

A system and method for pay-to-print printing allows a pay-to-print user to pay from any source currency to target currency through the use of a cryptocurrency service. A user selects a job to be performed on an MFP, and a job cost is generated and displayed. The MFP generates and displays a barcode on its touchscreen. The user scans the barcode and their smartphone is directed to a payment service portal, such as Google Pay or Apple Pay. The user directs payment to a crypto currency sever, along with payment target and target currency for the job. The cryptocurrency server converts payment to its cryptocurrency, and then to the target currency, and relays the target currency to target. The MFP completes the job once payment has been made.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a processing request that includes a document; request an external server to perform a process included in the acquired processing request, the external server being connectable from the information processing apparatus and being responsible for performing the process; and transmit second information to an apparatus communicable with the information processing apparatus, the second information including first information to be used for acquiring a processed document serving as the document processed by the external server.

Systems and methods for using a mobile device to submit an application for an insurance policy using images of documents captured by the mobile device are provided herein. The information is then used by an insurance company to generate a quote which is then displayed to the user on the mobile device. A user captures images of one or more documents containing information needed to complete an insurance application, after which the information on the documents is extracted and sent to the insurance company where a quote for the insurance policy can be developed. The quote can then be transmitted back to the user. Applications on the mobile device are configured to capture images of the documents needed for an insurance application, such as a driver's license, insurance information card or a vehicle identification number (VIN). The images are then processed to extract the information needed for the insurance application.

A method of transmitting a series of 2-D images relating to a 3-D object or model between a server and a user terminal includes combining each of the 2-D images in the series of 2-D images into a single combined 2-D image, and transmitting the combined image to the user terminal.

Provided is a system including: a printing apparatus; an information processing apparatus; and a server system. The printing apparatus outputs identification information on the printing apparatus. The server system executes processing for confirmation as to whether or not the printing apparatus identified by the identification information transmitted from the information processing apparatus is registered for a second service, and provides data for displaying an item for the second service in a case where the printing apparatus is not registered for the second service. The information processing apparatus displays an item for registering the printing apparatus for the second service on a display unit of the information processing apparatus based on the provided data.
