Image processing apparatus configured to encode identification information about a package for delivery
An image processing apparatus includes a display, an input device, and a processor configured to accept, through the input device, a user input of identification information about a package for delivery, acquire information about a plurality of document types used in a delivery service, generate a screen displayed on the display, the screen showing a preview of a print image for each of the document types, upon selection of a previewed print image, encode the identification information into a code, and output the selected print image together with the code for printing. The previewed print image includes a signature field and a code field in which the code is to be printed.
METHODS FOR CONFIGURING SETTINGS FOR AN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH TEMPLATE SHEET
An image forming apparatus prints a template sheet. The template sheet includes a graphical code and operation boxes. The graphical code includes information corresponding to a storage location address that stores information about settings for one or more image forming apparatuses. A user indicates what information is desired or to be changed on the image forming apparatus, marks it on the template sheet and scans the template sheet. Based on the instructions on the template sheet, information for settings is retrieved for an apparatus in a network.
COPYING APPARATUS AND METHOD CAPABLE OF CALIBRATING COPY POSITION
A copying apparatus capable of calibrating a copy position comprises a scanning module scanning an original to obtain an original image; and a processing module being electrically connected to the scanning module and recognizing whether the original image contains an original mark corresponding to a template mark. If the original image contains the original mark, then the processing module generates print data for being printed out according to the original image and a position parameter of the template mark. A copying method capable of calibrating the copy position is also provided. Thus, the copy position can be calibrated according to the mark of the original to prevent the copy result from having a positional offset. Consequently, no positional offset occurs even if the original is copied multiple times based on the previous generation of original.
Data buffering and interleaved transmission of scanned data
Performing optical mark recognition (OMR) scanning includes receiving a first substrate to be scanned, the first substrate having one or more colors visible to a human eye and bearing user-made marks; scanning the first substrate using a plurality of colors of light emitted from a light sensor to simultaneously generate both (a) first image data representing a visual appearance of the first substrate, and (b) first OMR data corresponding to respective locations of the user-made marks on the first substrate; transmitting from a first page buffer at least a portion of the first image data and/or at least a portion of the first OMR data; receiving a second substrate to be scanned; and during the transmitting from the first page buffer, simultaneously scanning the second substrate.
System implementing non-contact interaction with publicly shared machines
A menu of processing options of a publicly shared machine is presented on a user interface of a remote computerized device using an application (app). The publicly shared machine can include a printing component, a scanning component, a non-contact user identification component, etc. The app creates a job from options selected from the menu. The job is transmitted from the app to the publicly shared machine. The publicly shared machine notifies the app of availability to perform the job. In turn, the app provides a notice on the user interface of the remote computerized device that the publicly shared machine is available to perform the job. These methods further identify the user present at the publicly shared machine using the non-contact user identification component, allowing the publicly shared machine to perform the job based on the non-contact user identification, without requiring additional user interaction with the publicly shared machine.
PRINTER INCLUDING COPY AND SCAN FUNCTIONS
Copy and scan printing may include scanning, by scanner disposed along a paper path between a paper delivery roller and a paper pickup roller, content of documents (302). Further, copy and scan printing may include determining whether the documents are to be copied (304), in response to a determination that the documents are to be copied, determining whether a page count of the documents to be copied is available (306), and generating copies of the documents (310).

Methods and system for wireless thermal printing for order fulfillment
Systems, methods, and a printer apparatus using network-based communication over wireless networks, and provides for electronic response from the printer relating to order confirmation and fulfillment at the recipient printer, in communication to an order management coordinator or server. The printer provides an order output including at least one symbol representing an order, including order information. The printer is operable to broadcast a wireless communication signal for proximity marketing and order delivery coordination.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium
A technique in the present disclosure makes it possible to accurately obtain a value selected by a user with respect to a selection-type item for which a legend is prepared in a situation where a value entered in a document is extracted from a scanned image of the document. An item name is extracted from a document image, input information input by a user is extracted from the document image, and a legend is extracted from the document image. Additionally, in a case where the input information is unsuitable as a value corresponding to the item name, the value corresponding to the item name is obtained based on the legend and the input information.
