A sheet containing apparatus includes a first container unit that contains a sheet having a first size and that tilts with respect to a horizontal direction such that a first end and a second end in a width direction of the apparatus are located at different heights with the first container unit installed in a sheet containing apparatus body when viewed in a first direction, and a covering portion that is movable to a covering position at which the covering portion covers at least a part of the first container unit in the first direction and an open position at which the covering portion uncovers the first container unit in the first direction. When viewed in the first direction, a tilting division line is adjacent to the first container unit and tilts with respect to the horizontal direction, and at least a whole of the tilting division line is covered by the single covering portion in the first direction with the covering portion positioned at the covering position.

An apparatus with an openable slot covering includes a housing having an openable covering that forms a part of an exterior covering and openably covers a portion of the housing, the portion having one or more slots into each of which an insertion object is insertable. The openable covering is provided as a single piece of covering that openably covers an area of the housing, the area extending from a first end of the housing to a second end of the housing and including a portion having no slots, the first end and the second end being opposite each other. The portion having no slots occupies 30% or more of the area to be covered by the openable covering.

A sheet discharge device includes a sheet discharge tray, a stopper, a sheet size detection unit, and a display unit. In the sheet discharge tray, sheets discharged from a sheet discharge port are stacked on the upper surface. The stopper is provided on a upper surface side of the sheet discharge tray and is movable to a position corresponding to the leading end of each of a plurality of sheet sizes to be used in a sheet discharge direction, and regulates the position of the leading end of the sheet. The sheet size detection unit detects the sheet size corresponding to the position of the stopper. The display unit visually displays the sheet size detected by the sheet size detection unit.

The method includes sensing a gesture related to the object located in a certain area via a first device, obtaining content related to the object according to the sensed gesture, and transmitting the obtained content to a second device that is connected with the first device in a network, wherein the content is output via the second device.

An interactive kiosk for reading a document, the kiosk comprising: a transparent platform for supporting a document; a first camera disposed below the transparent platform; a mirror assembly comprising at least one mirror disposed below the transparent platform, the mirror assembly being arranged to reflect light from the underside of the transparent platform to the lens of the first camera; and a control unit connected to the first camera, the control unit being configured to receive content from the first camera and extract data from a document disposed on the transparent platform.

An image reading apparatus includes a first supporting portion, a sheet conveyance portion, an image reading portion, a second supporting portion, and an illumination portion. The image reading portion is configured to read an image of the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveyance portion. The second supporting portion is disposed below the first supporting portion and configured to support the sheet whose image has been read. The illumination portion is disposed further on an outside than a sheet supporting region of the second supporting portion in a width direction perpendicular to a sheet discharge direction, configured to illuminate the second supporting portion, and provided such that a light emission direction of the illumination portion is directed to the sheet supporting region.

A push type key includes a base including a main body, a key portion having an operation surface, first and second elastic portions connecting between the main body and the key portion, and an electrical equipment substrate provided on a back side of the base. The substrate includes an operating portion acted on by the key portion when the key portion moves. The first and second elastic portions have symmetrical configurations with respect to a phantom line passing through a center of the key portion, as seen perpendicularly to the operation surface. The operating portion is disposed at a position closer to the first elastic portion than to the second elastic portion. The base is provided with a third elastic portion connecting the key portion with the main body or with the second elastic portion in a side of the second elastic portion with respect to the phantom line.

A document processing system and method includes a display and an embedded controller that modifies the font used on the display based on the distance between a user and the display. When the user moves closer to the display, the font size of text displayed on the display is increased to enhance readability of the text. The font size of the text is decreased when the user moves further away from the display. The user can lock the font size of the text when the font is at an acceptable size to the user. All or a portion of the text that is displayed on the display can be dynamically resized. Different fonts also can be used to enhance readability for the user. The font also can be selected based on the user identity or user demographic information.
