Image reading device
An image reading device includes: a first reading unit that is provided at an intermediate position of a transport path and that reads an image of a document transported on the transport path; and a transport unit that is disposed on the transport path further upstream than the first reading unit and that transports the document to the first reading unit. The transport unit includes a third driving roller and third driven rollers that hold the document between the third driving roller and the third driven rollers. The third driving roller is provided on a frame main body, and the third driven rollers are provided on a holder member. When a cover is displaced from a closed position to an open position, the holder member is moved so as to separate the third driven rollers from the third driving roller.
Recording apparatus
A recording apparatus includes: a feeding unit that feeds a medium placed on a medium placing unit located on a back side (Y) of the apparatus; a transport unit that transports the medium fed from the feeding unit; a recording unit that performs recording on the medium transported from the transport unit; a reverse path that transports the medium in a reverse direction after recording is performed by the recording unit to turn over the medium; and a feed driving motor that drives the feeding unit, wherein the feed driving motor is disposed above the reverse path.
Image reading apparatus
An image reading apparatus includes: a document insertion port which allows documents to be inserted thereinto in a state of being arranged in a main scanning direction; a conveyor which conveys the documents inserted into the document insertion port in a predetermined conveyance direction; a scanner which reads images of the documents conveyed by the conveyor; a detector which detects whether at least one of the documents is present in the document insertion port; and a controller which counts a conveyance amount by which the documents are conveyed by the conveyor during a period in which the detector continuously detects that the at least one of the documents is present in the document insertion part. In a case that the images read by the scanner include a set of images croppable as an image of a single document included in the documents, the controller corrects the conveyance amount.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS
A scanner includes a feeding unit, a transport unit provided downstream of the feeding unit, and a first reading unit provided downstream of the transport unit, a second reading unit provided to face the first reading unit across the transport path and configured to be displaceable in a direction of advancing and retreating with respect to the first reading unit, a second medium detection portion as detection means for detecting a specific portion provided in the sheet holder for specifying front and back sides of the sheet holder in which the booklet is sandwiched, and a control unit that determines whether or not a reading surface of the sheet holder faces the first reading unit based on the detection information of the second medium detection portion and executes a front/back side determination processing mode for performing processing based on the determination.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF EXECUTING LINE WIDTH ADJUSTMENT PROCESS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus that prevents, when reducing variation in thickness of thin lines, the legibility of the thin lines from being adversely affected thereby. When print data is acquired, in a rendering process for printing based on the acquired print data, the rendering process including a line width adjustment process is executed. In a case where the line width adjustment process is executed on the print data, not only the line width adjustment process but also a process for thickening thin lines is executed.
Image forming apparatus, recording medium conveying method, and recording medium
An image forming apparatus includes a conveyance device to convey a recording medium in a first direction and a second direction opposite the first direction; an image forming device; an imaging device; and circuitry to control the image forming apparatus. Controlled by the circuitry, the image forming device forms the colorimetric pattern on the recording medium that has been conveyed in the first direction by a predetermined distance after the marker pattern is formed. Controlled by the circuitry, after the colorimetric pattern is fixed, the circuitry causes the conveyance device to convey the recording medium in the second direction by an amount equivalent to a distance from the marker pattern to an imaging position by the imaging device plus a margin, conveys the recording medium in the first direction until the imaging device detects the marker pattern, and conveys the recording medium in the first direction to a colorimetry position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING SHEET INSERTION AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
Provided are an image forming apparatus, a method of controlling sheet insertion and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium. The image forming apparatus includes a print engine, an image checker, a sheet inserter, a sheet ejector and one or more controllers. When the image checker receives a media sheet output from the print engine, the one or more controllers perform a check whether an image formed on the media sheet is defective or not, by using measured image obtained by a sensor of the image checker. The one or more controllers further cause a sheet inserter to start putting an insertion sheet into the sheet path, after a determination that an image of one of media sheets output from the print engine is non-defective is made, as a result of the check.
DOCUMENT READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A document reading device includes an image reading part, a document conveying part, an operation display part, an overlap detecting part and a controlling part. The overlap detecting part detects overlap of a document conveyed to the image reading part. When the overlap detecting part detects the overlap, if an overlap image corresponding to the overlap in the image data obtained by the image reading part matches with a predetermined preservation image, the controlling part decides that the overlap is not double feed to continue the scanning operation. If the overlap image does not match with the predetermined preservation image, the controlling part decides that the overlap is the double feed, stops the scanning operation, and, if user judgement that the overlap is not the double feed is inputted in accordance with operation of the operation display part, stores the preservation image on the basis of the overlap image.
