Image reading apparatus with rotatable main body
An image reading apparatus includes a first posture detection unit that detects a first posture that is a posture of the apparatus main body when not in use, a second posture detection unit that detects a second posture that is a posture of the apparatus main body when in use, and a posture change detection unit that detects a change in a posture of the apparatus main body. When the first posture detection unit detects a switchover of the apparatus main body to the first posture in a first power supply mode in which power is supplied to the first posture detection unit, the second posture detection unit, and the posture change detection unit, the first power supply mode transitions to the second power supply mode in which a controller supplies power to only the posture change detection unit.
Information processing apparatus, system, method for controlling information processing apparatus, and computer program
An information processing apparatus and method is provided and controls execution of learning processing thereon. Learning data are generated in which readings of a human presence sensor serve as input values, information on receiving or not receiving any operation from an operation panel serves as success/failure flags. The success/failure flag is generated from an assessment result of a current resumption assessment model and the information on receiving or not receiving an operation, and is provided to the learning data. Accordingly, learning processing is performed using the success/failure flags provided in the learning data, thereby efficiently implementing learning.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive a first time-designated operation setting to execute a first designated operation at a first designated time; and shift from a normal operation mode to a power saving mode based on an instruction, wherein the processor is configured to, if the first designated operation is not a predetermined operation, control to not return from the power saving mode to the normal operating mode to execute the first designated operation at arrival of the first designated time.
PRINTER
A printer includes a printing unit powered from a battery which is charged by a charge IC, and a processor. The processor sets a mode of the printer to a print mode, and sets the mode to a low-power mode in which total power consumption of the printer is lower than that in the print mode, in a state that the printing unit stops printing. In a case where the processor sets the mode to the low-power mode, the processor sets the mode to a first low-power mode, in which the charge IC is driven at a first SW frequency, when the charge IC works to charge the battery, and sets the mode to a second low-power mode, in which the charge IC is driven at a second SW frequency lower than the first SW frequency, when the charge IC stops the charge of the battery.
Electronic device and method for controlling the same
An electronic device that is able to operate by receiving a power supply from a host device through a Universal Serial Bus (USB). The electronic device acts as a first sink device and is connected to a second sink device that is able to operate by receiving a power supply from the host device through the USB and the connection to the first sink device. Each of the first sink device and the second sink device is provided with a CC terminal that obtains power supplying capability information from the host device, a pull-up or pull-down resistor connected to the CC terminal, and a GND terminal that grounds a circuit of the CC terminal and the pull-up or pull-down resistor. The electronic device changes a state of grounding of the pull-up or pull-down resistor to the GND terminal, in one of the first sink device and the second sink device.
Information processing apparatus and control method for determining whether to limit processing based on switch information
To provide an apparatus for performing operation relating to switching of a power switch while power is supplied from an auxiliary power source, the apparatus acquires switch information indicating whether the power switch is in an on state from a BMU of a battery pack and determines whether to limit processing based on a user instruction based on the acquired switch information.
Information processing apparatus, non-transitory computer readable medium storing program, and information processing method for setting value of restarting
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to control an operation of an apparatus by executing a control program, in a case where an instruction to shift to a power-off state is received, perform shift from a normal operation state to any one of a first power-off state or a second power-off state, the first power-off state being a state where the operation is stopped without restarting the control program, the second power-off state being a state where the control program is restarted and then the operation is stopped, and in a case where the shift to the first power-off state is made, set at least a part of information regarding an operation of the information processing apparatus to a value that is set in a case where the control program is restarted.
Image forming apparatus including interlock switch
An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a door, an inlet, a primary power source, a secondary power source, a primary interlock switch, and a secondary interlock switch. The housing has an opening. The door is hinge-coupled to the housing by a hinge, and opens and closes the opening. The inlet is provided near the hinge. The secondary power source is provided farther from the inlet than the primary power source. The primary interlock switch is provided on a primary electric circuit between the inlet and the primary power source, and is turned off when the door is opened. The secondary interlock switch is provided on a secondary electric circuit between the primary power source and the secondary power source, and is turned off when the door is opened. The primary interlock switch is disposed closer to the inlet than the secondary interlock switch.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
An image forming apparatus communicates with another device and includes a processor that controls the communication. A control unit controls the apparatus to operate in one of at least a first power saving state, a second power saving state, and a normal state. In the first power saving state, the apparatus is controlled so that an image forming unit, an image reading unit, and the control unit are not activated, and a communication device is activated. In the second power saving state, the apparatus is controlled so that at least one of the image forming unit and the image reading unit are not activated, and the communication device and the control unit are activated. In the normal state, the apparatus is controlled so that at least the image forming unit, the image reading unit, the communication device, and the control unit are activated.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A communication apparatus comprises a shift unit configured to shift, based on a start of processing for connection between the communication apparatus and a predetermined external apparatus supporting authentication processing by a predetermined authentication method using an authentication server in a state in which the communication apparatus operates in a first state in which a processor of the communication apparatus operates at a first operating frequency, the state of the communication apparatus to a second state in which the processor of the communication apparatus operates at a second operating frequency higher than the first operating frequency; and an authentication unit configured to execute authentication by the predetermined authentication method via the predetermined external apparatus in the state in which the communication apparatus operates in the second state.
