A compression unit compresses the partial data at the stage when the analysis unit analyzes that it is suitable for compression. A decompressing unit decompresses the partial data compressed by the compression unit at the stage when it is compressed. A processing execution unit executes processing at the stage of image processing on the partial data decompressed by the decompressing unit.

A job management server, which is connected to a Web application server and a job processing apparatus via a network, comprises: a registration unit which registers, when a job received from the Web application server is added with information indicating that a request source of the job is the job processing apparatus, the job in a first job queue, and to register, when the job is not added with the information, the job in a second job queue having a lower priority than the first job queue; and a transmission unit which transmits the job registered in the first job queue in response to a request from the job processing apparatus while a user utilizes a Web application via the job processing apparatus.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to, in a case where a time specified processing instruction to execute a specified process at a specified time is set, in response to detecting presence of a user near the information processing apparatus upon restoration from an energy save mode to a normal operation mode, hold a time specified processing instruction scheduled for a past specified time that is time before the restoration, the time specified processing instruction being held not to be executed upon the restoration.

A job processing system includes a host computer and an image forming apparatus connected via a network with each other, the host computer includes a job register acceptor that accepts a job register and a communication device that sends the job register to the image forming apparatus, the image forming apparatus includes a display controller and a job execution controller, the job execution controller controls sequential execution of a plurality of jobs shown in the changed job register in accordance with an execution order of the plurality of jobs, and the display controller keeps from making an update to cause a display of the changed job register immediately after a network interface device receives the changed job register, but makes an update to cause a display of the changed job register when a predetermined display updating condition is achieved after the receipt of the changed job register.

A job management server, which is connected to a Web application server and a job processing apparatus via a network, comprises: a registration unit which registers, when a job received from the Web application server is added with information indicating that a request source of the job is the job processing apparatus, the job in a first job queue, and to register, when the job is not added with the information, the job in a second job queue having a lower priority than the first job queue; and a transmission unit which transmits the job registered in the first job queue in response to a request from the job processing apparatus while a user utilizes a Web application via the job processing apparatus.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to perform connection to an external server that can be connected from the information processing apparatus and instruct the external server to execute processing as a first job, and then release a resource used in the first job, make an inquiry about whether or not the processing is completed to the external server, and wait for a response from the external server, in a case where a response indicating that the processing by the external server is completed is received in response to the inquiry, execute a second job that is different from the first job and is cooperated with the first job, and, in a case where a connection between the information processing apparatus and the external server is disconnected before or during the execution of the second job, make an inquiry about whether or not the processing is completed to the external server again and wait for a response from the external server.

In one embodiment, a display, a storage, and a controller which executes a job of image processing based on a setting value are provided, and the controller stores, as setting history information, the setting value of the executed job in the storage; displays, on the display, a selection screen to select the setting history information stored in the storage; and executes, when the job based on the setting history information received via the selection screen is to be executed, confirmation processing according to the state of user authentication.

In order to recover an image forming apparatus, an example computing device determines a target application to be installed in the image forming apparatus based on an application history of the image forming apparatus and obtains configuration information of the target application. The computing device creates a first task of installing the target application in the image forming apparatus and a second task of configuring the target application installed in the image forming apparatus based on the configuration information, and transfers the first task and the second task to the image forming apparatus.
