An image forming apparatus includes plural components that are used to perform an image forming operation, and a drive controller that controls a potential noise source component or a component group containing plural potential noise source components among the plural components to be sequentially driven in an operation state for specifying a noise occurrence place such that a component or a component group having a higher possibility to be a noise source is driven with higher priority or a component or a component group having a lower possibility to be the noise source with lower priority.

A data processing device includes a data processing circuit and a data processing control circuit. The data processing circuit is configured to perform data processing on processing target data by use of an external clock, the processing target data being included in a data signal received from an outside, the external clock being included in the data signal. The data processing control circuit is configured to detect a state of the external clock and control execution of the data processing on the processing target data in accordance with the state of the external clock. The data processing control circuit is configured to operate with a clock having a lower impedance than an impedance of the external clock, and discard the processing target data received during a period in which an abnormality of the external clock is detected, in a case of detecting the abnormality of the external clock.

An image forming device includes an image data acquirer acquiring image data, a laser source emitting a laser beam, a laser driver forming an electrostatic latent image by irradiating a scanning surface of a charged photoconductor with the laser beam, based on the image data, a shading characteristic corrector correcting light quantity of the laser beam, an image former forming an image based on the electrostatic latent image, and a controller controlling the image data acquirer, the laser driver, the shading characteristic corrector, and the image former. The shading characteristic corrector includes a PDM signal outputter outputting a pulse density modulation signal based on the correction of the light quantity of the laser beam, a smoothing circuit smoothing the pulse density modulation signal to obtain an analog signal to be output, and a spread clock outputter outputting a clock subjected to spread spectrum to the PDM signal outputter.

A signal correction device includes a correction signal generator configured to generate a correction signal serving to remove noise superimposed on an input signal; a phase adjuster configured to shift a phase of the correction signal generated by the correction signal generator; a subtractor configured to generate an output signal for output by subtracting the correction signal from the input signal; a peak and bottom detector configured to detect a peak value and a bottom value of the output signal; and a determiner configured to determine a phase-shift amount of the phase adjuster from the peak value and the bottom value of the output signal detected by the peak and bottom detector. The determiner detects uncorrected noise from the peak value and the bottom value of the output signal from the subtractor, and sets the phase-shift amount such that the uncorrected noise is reduced to a minimum.

An image forming device includes an image data acquirer acquiring image data, a laser source emitting a laser beam, a laser driver forming an electrostatic latent image by irradiating a scanning surface of a charged photoconductor with the laser beam, based on the image data, a shading characteristic corrector correcting light quantity of the laser beam, an image former forming an image based on the electrostatic latent image, and a controller controlling the image data acquirer, the laser driver, the shading characteristic corrector, and the image former. The shading characteristic corrector includes a PDM signal outputter outputting a pulse density modulation signal based on the correction of the light quantity of the laser beam, a smoothing circuit smoothing the pulse density modulation signal to obtain an analog signal to be output, and a spread clock outputter outputting a clock subjected to spread spectrum to the PDM signal outputter.
