An image scanning device includes a casing, a paper feeding wheel, a transparent plate, a light bar, and an elastic support member. The transparent plate includes a first surface and a second surface, and the first surface faces the paper feeding wheel. The light bar is located on the second surface of the transparent plate and includes a plurality of light-emitting elements. A position at which the paper feeding wheel is tangent to the first surface defines a tangent position, a position at which the light-emitting elements are projected onto the first surface in a normal direction of the first surface defines a scanning position, and a scanning spacing exists between the tangent position and the scanning position. The elastic support member pushes the light bar and the transparent plate toward the paper feeding wheel. An image scanning equipment with an image scanning device is also provided.

MULTILINE SCANNER AND ELECTRONIC ROLLING SHUTTER AREA IMAGER BASED TUNNEL SCANNER

Scanners, methods, and computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that process variable sized objects with high package pitch on a moving conveyor belt are provided. The scanners include a substrate and a plurality of sensors attached to the substrate. The plurality of sensors forms an array of sensors having at least two or more rows of off-axis sensors. The sensors may include a one or more area array sensors. The arrays of sensors captures moving objects row by row and are optimized reduce object spacing on the conveyor belt. Additionally, the scanner having the array of sensor may process different objects having different heights at the same time. Accordingly, object throughput on the conveyor belt is increased by reducing minimum object gap (e.g., processing of “no gap” or non-singulated objects).

FIXED RETAIL SCANNER WITH MULTI-PORT NETWORK SWITCH AND RELATED METHODS

The disclosure includes a fixed retail scanner including a data reader comprising a main board, one or more camera modules, and a multi-port network switch disposed within a housing of the data reader. The multi-port network switch is configured to provide a network backbone for at least some internal devices within the housing of the data reader and for at least some external devices positioned external to the housing of the data reader and operably coupled with the data reader through the multi-port network switch. Related systems may include a remote server operably coupled to the fixed retail scanner through the multi-port network switch such that image data to the remote server may be communicated via the multi-port network switch from at least one of the main board or the at least one camera coupled to the multi-port network switch.

CONTACT IMAGING OF STANDARDS WITH ILLUMINATION

Systems and methods for contact imaging of stands with illumination are disclosed herein. A contact imaging system can include a contact imager. The contact imager can include a housing having a base and a lid. The lid can have a closed position against the base and an open position. The contact imager can include a contact area image sensor. The lid can shield the contact area image sensor from ambient light when the lid is in the closed position. The contact imager can include an illuminator that can illuminate at least a portion of a blot on the contact area image sensor when the lid is in the closed position.
