IMAGE READING APPARATUS, IMAGE READING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An object of the present invention is to detect the home position with a high accuracy without being affected by temperature. The present invention is an image reading apparatus having a reading portion, and the apparatus includes: an acquisition unit configured to acquire first data obtained by the reading portion reading a main scanning line in a state where a light source of the reading portion is turned on in a first light quantity, and second data obtained by the reading portion reading the main scanning line in a state where the light source of the reading portion is turned on in a second light quantity smaller than the first light quantity; a generation unit configured to generate difference data by subtracting the value of the second data from the value of the first data; and a determination unit configured to determine whether a mark arranged at a position corresponding to a home position of the reading portion has been detected on the main scanning line based on the difference data.
Electric apparatus and control method therefor
An apparatus detects movement of a target object, estimates a control quantity for first feedback control for the target object at a first period, based on a detection signal, and estimates a first state quantity of the target object and a second state quantity obtained by time differentiation of the first state quantity in order to perform second feedback control for the target object at a second period shorter than the first period, based on the detection signal. The apparatus generates a first operation quantity for the first feedback control, based on the estimated control quantity, generates a second operation quantity for the second feedback control, based on the estimated first and second state quantities, and determines an output value, based on a result of comparing the second operation quantity with a maximum value of the first operation quantity.
READING DEVICE SETTING READING START POSITION BY READING REFERENCE HOLE HAVING L-SHAPE
In a reading device, a light transmissive member has a front surface on which an original is placed. A peripheral member is adjacent to the light transmissive member, and includes a back surface in which a reference hole is formed. The reference hole includes a first edge and a second edge intersecting with each other. A reading sensor faces the back surface of the light transmissive member and the back surface of the peripheral member. The controller controls the reading sensor to read a reading range including the reference hole to obtain a read image, and determines a reference position in the reading range based on the read image. The reference position is determined to an intersection between the first edge and the second edge. The controller sets a reading start position based on the reference position.
IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
One motor is shared for carriage movement and document sheet conveyance. An abutting member stops the carriage, that has moved from a second position located below a first end portion of a platen glass, at a first position located below a contact glass. The carriage supports the motor and first and second main body gears. The main body gears interlock with the motor. A cover input gear meshes with the first main body gear when the carriage is located between the first position and a relay region. A main rack gear meshes with the second main body gear when the carriage is located in a region extending from the relay region to a third position located below a second end portion of the platen glass. A load torque applied to the motor is larger when the carriage is fixed than when the cover input gear is fixed.
Image reading device and image forming device comprising a drive device configured to selectively apply a driving force to the carriage and the plutality of pairs of conveyance rollers, wherein the device driver includes an abutting member, a motor, a carriage that rotates in conjunction with the motor supports a first main body gear to mesh with a cover input gear and a second main body gear to mesh with a main rack gear

Electric apparatus and control method for controlling movement of target object
An apparatus detects movement of a target object, estimates a control quantity for first feedback control for the target object at a first period based on a detection signal, estimates a first state quantity of the target object and a second state quantity obtained by time differentiation of the first state quantity for second feedback control for the target object at a second period, shorter than the first period, based on the detection signal, generates a first operation quantity for the first feedback control based on the control quantity, generates a second operation quantity for the second feedback control based on the first and second state quantities, determines a sign of the second operation quantity from a relationship between the first and second state quantities, and generates an operation quantity on the target object from the first and second operation quantities.
SCAN CARRIAGE OF A PRINT APPARATUS
Example implementations relate to a scan carriage of a print apparatus. In some examples, a system may include a print carriage to transit across a print zone of the print apparatus and a scan carriage selectably attachable to the print carriage to transit across the print zone of the print apparatus.

READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A reading device includes: a housing including a transparent flat plate on an upper surface on which an object to be read is placed; a reading unit that reads information on the object to be read by coming into contact with a lower surface of the transparent flat plate inside the housing; a movement unit that causes the reading unit to move back and forth within a scan area inside the housing; and a motor that provides power to the movement unit inside the housing. The motor is disposed to overlap with the reading unit along upward and downward directions inside the housing.
IMAGE READING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE READING DEVICE
An image reading device includes a DC motor, a roller driven by the DC motor, a reading unit configured to read an image from a document conveyed by the roller, and a control unit configured to control driving of the DC motor. The control unit is configured to detect a power load value of the DC motor. The control unit is configured to determine that the power load value of the DC motor exceeds a first threshold value in a state in which the control unit controls the DC motor to convey the document at a first conveyance velocity, and then, control the DC motor to convey the document at a second conveyance velocity lower than the first conveyance velocity.
