IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming section that forms an image on a document; a first ejection section that ejects the document on which the image has been formed by the image forming section; an exterior portion which is movable and at least a part of which constitutes an exterior of the apparatus; an entrance portion that is exposed by movement of the exterior portion and that constitutes an entrance for the document to be transported to an image reading section that reads the image formed on the document; the image reading section that reads the image formed on the document transported after the entrance portion is exposed; and a second ejection section that ejects the document which has been read by the image reading section. An ejecting direction of the first ejection section, an ejecting direction of the second ejection section, and a moving direction of the exterior portion coincide with each other.
READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A reading device includes a carriage configured to move in a sub-scanning direction with reference to an object placed on a contact glass, an optical sensor attached to the carriage, the optical sensor being configured to scan the object placed on the contact glass to obtain an image of the object, and a reference scale used as a reference when a dimension of the object is computed based on the image obtained by the optical sensor. In the reading device, the reference scale extends in a main scanning direction and a sub-scanning direction with reference to the object, and is disposed outside a range of image acquisition in which the optical sensor scans the object to obtain the image of the object as the carriage moves and inside a maximum movement range in which the carriage is movable and the optical sensor obtains the image of the object.
READING APPARATUS
A reading apparatus, having a platen glass, a document cover, a conveyer, a reading sensor, a document supporting member, a pressing plate, and a linkage assembly, is provided. The document cover is movable between an open position and a closed position. The document supporting member is movable between a first position, where the document supporting member faces a reading surface of the reading sensor, and a second position, where the document supporting member is separated from the reading surface. The pressing plate is movable between a third position, where the pressing plate is attached to a lower side of the document cover, and a fourth position, where the pressing plate is removed from the lower side. The linkage assembly moves the document supporting member from the first position to the second position in conjunction with the pressing member moving from the third position to the fourth position.
LIGHTGUIDE TYPE ILLUMINATION DEVICE WITH SYMMETRICALLY ARRANGED MULTIPLE COLOR LIGHT SOURCES
An illumination device includes a light guide member having a first side in a main scanning direction and a second side in a sub-scanning direction and a plurality of light sources including first light emitters respectively to emit beams of light of a first color and a second light emitter to emit a beam of light of a second color different from the first color toward an inside of the light guide member via a side of the light guide member in the main scanning direction. The first light emitters are positioned in the sub-scanning direction to be symmetrical to each other.
DICE SCANNING DEVICE
A dice scanner for assisting in electronic gaming is disclosed which comprises a flat scanner with a scanning surface and a processor. The scanning surface is adapted for the rolling of one or more thrown dice and the flat scanner is configured for acquiring images of the scanning surface and the dice rolling or resting on that scanning surface in real time. The processor is configured for receiving one or more acquired images of the scanning surface and deriving therefrom data relating to the dice. The dice scanner also comprises a video acquisition system and/or an audio acquisition system which are arranged relative to the scanning surface such that at least a user face and/or at least a user voice can be recorded while gaming.
IMAGE READING DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image reading device includes a placement section, a reader, an authentication control section, and a reading control section. A document and an identification medium are placed on the placement section. The reader reads the document and the identification medium and generates image data. The authentication control section performs authentication of a user based on image data of the identification medium and generates authentication information that indicates a result of authentication of the user. The reading control section controls the reader. The reading control section controls the reader to read the document after generating the image data of the identification medium. The authentication control section starts authentication of the user after the image data of the identification medium is generated.
IMAGE READING OPTICAL SYSTEM AND IMAGE READING APPARATUS
An image reading optical system includes an image reading unit including plural reading elements that are arranged in a first direction, a first reflective optical system configured to reflect reflection light which is irradiation light emitted from a light source and reflected on an object to be read, a second reflective optical system configured to condense the reflection light reflected on the first reflective optical system to the image reading unit, and an aperture stop including a plate shaped member formed with an aperture configured to regulate the reflection light reflected on the first reflective optical system in the first direction, the plate shaped member including at least one plate shaped piece bent at a preset angle with respect to the aperture along a tangent line of the aperture in the first direction.
AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER, IMAGE READING DEVICE INCORPORATING THE AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS INCORPORATING THE IMAGE READING DEVICE WITH THE AUTOMATIC DOCUMENT FEEDER
An automatic document feeder, which is included in an image reading device and an image forming apparatus, includes first and second document trays, a document output tray, a document conveying passage, multiple document conveying bodies, a drive source, a detector, and a controller. The multiple document conveying bodies include a document holding and conveying body to convey and hold the original document sheet on the second document tray. On detection of the original document sheet on the second document tray while conveying a different original document sheet from the first document tray, the controller stops feeding the different original document sheet, causes the different original document sheet downstream from the document holding and conveying body in a document conveying direction to be conveyed to the document output tray, and stops the drive source after the different original document has been conveyed to the document output tray.
Light guide, illuminating device and image reading apparatus
A light guide configured to cause light entering from a point light source to exit as linear light. The light guide has a rod portion extending in a first direction and having a reflecting surface. A plurality of reflecting elements are provided on the reflecting surface to reflect the light entering from the point light source. A part of the reflecting elements located closer to the point light source than a center of the rod with respect to the first direction is arranged so as to sheer away from a strongly illuminated area of the reflecting surface, which is an area illuminated strongly with light entering the rod portion, in a second direction parallel to the reflecting surface and perpendicular to the first direction.
