Multi-region detection for images
An image captured by a camera can be processed by a scanning application to identify one or more regions within the image that are suitable for scanning. One or more of these regions can be selected for scanning automatically based on user-input such as a fingertip touch to a particular portion of the display screen. Users may also select multiple regions and submit multiple quadrangular regions for scanning to PDF from a single image.
Systems and methods for intelligent copying of bound documents
The disclosure discloses methods and systems for intelligent copying of bound documents. The method includes receiving a selection of copying a bound document via a user interface. The user interface is presented to the user to input whether a starting page of the bound document for copying is a left-side page or a right-side page. Then, multiple pages of the bound document are scanned to generate corresponding scanned images. Finally, the generated scanned images are arranged in the same order as per the arrangement of pages in the original bound document.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
According to the technology of the present disclosure, in a case where multiple documents are placed on a document positioning plate, it is possible to display document images on a UI screen in such a manner that the user can easily check the correspondence relationship between the document images being displayed on the UI screen and the corresponding documents placed on the document positioning plate. An image processing apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a processor causing the image processing apparatus to perform: acquiring position information of each of a plurality of document image areas, and information of an analyzing result obtained by analysis of document image data corresponding to each of the plurality of document image areas; and controlling the information of the analyzing result corresponding to one of the plurality of document image areas to be displayed together with the scanned image data on a display apparatus.
Document reading device identifying front and back faces of same document based on relative positions of center of gravity of cropped images
An image forming apparatus includes a document reading unit configured to collectively read a plurality of source documents placed on a document table, a reference document image selector that selects, as a reference document image, an individual image representing the source document located closest to a position corresponding to a far left corner of the document table, a first relative position detector that detects a relative position between the reference document image and each of the individual images other than the reference document image, and a first pair identifier that identifies, as an image pair representing front and back faces of the same source document, a pair of individual images, the respective relative positions of which, from the reference document image in one of the both image data and from the reference document image in the other one of the both image data, are closest to each other.
SYSTEM FOR ANALYZING A DOCUMENT AND CORRESPONDING METHOD
The invention refers to a system for analyzing a document. Each of two measurement arrangements includes two components being a radiation source and a radiation detector, respectively. The two measurement arrangements provide measurement data and differ from each other with regard to a measurement principle, a kind of radiation source, a kind of radiation detector, a kind of relative movement between the document and a component, a kind of relative arrangement of the two components to each other, a kind of emitted radiation, a kind of received radiation or a kind of processing information about radiation emitted by the respective radiation source and/or about radiation received by the respective radiation detector. An evaluator provides data based on the measurement data. The invention also refers to a corresponding method.
Image scanning device and image processing apparatus including card scanning function, and image scanning method thereof
An image scanning device includes a platen, an image scanning unit that scans at a single time documents placed on the platen and generates pieces of image data, and an image data processing unit that performs processing of the pieces of image data. When the image scanning unit generates pieces of first image data by scanning first surfaces of the documents, each of which is placed in one of predetermined areas on the platen, and generates pieces of second image data by scanning surfaces opposite to the first surfaces of the documents, each of which is turned over and placed again in the one of the predetermined areas, the image data processing unit associates one of the pieces of the first image data with a corresponding one of the pieces of the second image data for each of the predetermined areas, as image data of the front and back surfaces.
Image forming apparatus and image display method
An image forming apparatus includes a display section, a display controller, a reading section, an image detector, and a determining section. The display controller controls the display section. The reading section reads multiple documents placed on a specific surface of the image forming apparatus in a batch and generates whole image data indicating a whole image as a result of reading. The image detector detects document images corresponding to the documents based on the whole image data. The determining section determines whether or not batch reading of the documents has succeeded based on a result of detection of the document images. The display controller controls the display section such that the display section displays the document images in a first display format when the determining section determines that the reading has not succeeded, or in a second display format when the determining section determines that the reading has succeeded.
DOCUMENT READING DEVICE
Image reading device and method for controlling image reading device
An image sensor in an image reading device reads a document based on light from a lamp while a carriage is moving from one to the other side. An image data generation circuit generates read image data based on an analog image signal fed out from the image sensor. A controller senses the edge of the document in the read image data generated while the carriage is moving. On recognizing once or a plurality of times, while the carriage is moving, based on the result of sensing of the edge, that the reading of one placed sheet of the document is completed, the controller makes a moving mechanism stop the movement of the carriage and turns off the lamp.
Image reading apparatus for recognizing, correcting and arraying card image data
The image reading apparatus includes: an image reading unit which reads card-like document sheets; a card-image recognition part which recognizes card images corresponding to the document sheets; a circular-area setting part which sets circular areas each containing a card image; a positional-information setting part which sets positional information as to the circular areas; a deviational-angle computation part which determines deviational angles of the card images; a corrected-data acquisition part which acquires corrected image data by turning the circular areas; and an array processing part which generates arrayed image data in which the card images corrected in terms of deviational inclination are disposed in array.
