A method for controlling an image forming apparatus can include receiving page description language (PDL) data including print data of a document to be output, attribute data, of the document, and voice data of the document from an external apparatus. The method can include outputting the voice data of the received PDL data via a speaker.

An image forensics system estimates a camera response function (CRF) associated with a digital image, and compares the estimated CRF to a set of rules and compares the estimated CRF to a known CRF. The known CRF is associated with a make and a model of an image sensing device. The system applies a fusion analysis to results obtained from comparing the estimated CRF to a set of rules and from comparing the estimated CRF to the known CRF, and assesses the integrity of the digital image as a function of the fusion analysis.

An image processing apparatus includes a first evaluator configured to evaluate under a first evaluation condition a focus state of each of a plurality of image data acquired by consecutive capturing, a second evaluator configured to evaluate the focus state of each of the plurality of image data under a second evaluation condition different from the first evaluation condition, and a recorder configured to record first evaluation information indicating an evaluation result under the first evaluation condition and second evaluation information indicating an evaluation result under the second evaluation condition.

A digital camera with a printer is a digital camera with a printer and includes a communication unit that communicates with a digital camera with a printer that is another apparatus, and an image composition unit that generates a composite image in which a first image captured by the digital camera with a printer that is an owned apparatus and a second image captured by the other apparatus are composited, in which the communication unit transmits the composite image to the other apparatus. A user of the other apparatus can also obtain the composite image. Accordingly, the composite image can be enjoyed by capturing images using a plurality of cameras.

A print management unit attaches an identifier to print data that goes through a custom processing unit functioning by execution of a custom class driver, and delivers the print data with the identifier attached, to a standard print control unit. The custom processing unit deletes the identifier from the print data delivered from the standard print control unit and customizes processing of causing a printer to execute printing, based on the print data. The print management unit detects a read state of the custom class driver by execution of an OS. When the read state indicates a failure in reading the custom class driver, the print management unit delivers the print data without the identifier attached, to the standard print control unit, and thus causes the printer to execute the printing that is limited via a standard communication control unit or to stop the printing.

A system that enables a user to grasp processing status of image data easily. The system includes an image processing apparatus, a server apparatus, and an information terminal. The image processing apparatus includes a reception unit that receives image data through fax, and a transmission unit that transmits the image data received by the reception unit to the server apparatus. The server apparatus includes a transfer unit that transfers the image data to the information terminal. The information terminal includes a display unit that displays image data transferred by the transfer unit. The display unit displays information showing that a reply to the image data is completed at a position that does not overlap with the image data.

A printing system that is communicable with an image management server through a network includes an information processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus. The information processing apparatus controls a display to display a print setting screen for receiving a print setting that designates printing of a specific color image superimposed on an image to be printed, transmits the specific color image corresponding to the print setting to the image management server, acquires storage location information from the image management server, and transmits print data to the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes a printer. The image forming apparatus receives the print data, acquires the specific color image from the image management server, generates image data for overprinting the specific color image on the image to be printed, and controls the printer to perform printing based on the image data.

An imaging apparatus includes a first output unit configured to output, outside the imaging apparatus, a first image that an image sensor, an imaging region of which is divided into a plurality of regions, has captured while an exposure condition is controlled for each of the plurality of regions, and a second output unit configured to output, outside the imaging apparatus, exposure information for each of the plurality of regions, the exposure information indicating the exposure condition to be applied to the corresponding one of the plurality of regions when the first image is captured. The second output unit is configured to complete outputting exposure information for a region to be subjected to exposure correction processing in the first image, out of the plurality of regions, before the first output unit completes outputting an image of the region to be subjected to exposure correction processing.

There is provided an imaging apparatus including a user interface control section. The user interface control section performs a process of displaying a plurality of images in a stacked form as a first display mode of an image group including the plurality of images, a process of individually displaying each of the plurality of images as a second display mode of the image group, and a process of detecting an operation of recording a voice note corresponding to a selected image selected in the second display mode.
