PRINTING IMAGE-INDEPENDENT PRINT DATA BASED ON PIXEL CHARACTERISTICS

According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may access a window of pixels corresponding to print data. The print data may specify printing of a plurality of pixels based on an original document image and image-independent print data. The apparatus may identify a first pixel, from among the window of pixels, corresponding to the image-independent print data, determine a characteristic associated with the window of pixels, determine, based on the characteristic, that the image-independent print data is to specify printing of a second pixel from among the window of pixels. The apparatus may cause the image-independent print data to specify printing of the second pixel based on the determination that the image-independent print data is to specify printing of the second pixel.

Method for marking visuals of information for subsequent identification or authentication

A method for authenticating digital information includes obtaining, in digital form, information for authentication; preparing the information for processing, such preparation including converting the information into a digital image; identifying segments of content in the digital image; grouping the segments of content into one or more segment groups; generating a marking sequence comprising shifting at least one of the one or more segment groups in one or more directions; and applying the marking sequence to the digital image, creating a unique marked copy of the digital image.

Conveyance of hidden image data between output panel and digital camera

One or more system, apparatus, method, and computer readable media is described below for conveyance of hidden image data between a display and a camera. In some embodiments, modulating a display pixel refresh rate a predetermined amount relative to a target camera frame rate conveys hidden image data. In further embodiments, a camera module is employed to detect one or more changes in state and/or logic level associated with the pixel refresh rate modulation. The logic levels are then decoded to deduce the hidden image data. In some embodiments, a visually perceptible representation of the hidden image data is then output to a output panel. For example, in one exemplary embodiment the hidden image data includes a pixel value indicative of a color that is to be output to one or more pixel of a camera viewer.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A MULTI-LAYER CORRELATION MARK VIA A MONOCHROME PRINTER

A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for generating a multi-layer correlation mark via a monochrome printer are disclosed. For example, the method includes setting a first scalar value of a channel of the monochrome printer, setting a second scalar value of the channel of the monochrome printer, generating a first layer of the multi-layer correlation mark at the first scalar value of the channel, generating a second layer of the multi-layer correlation mark at the second scalar value of the channel and printing the multi-layer correlation mark comprising the first layer at the first scalar value of the channel and the second layer at the second scalar value of the channel.

MULTIPLE PAYLOAD PANTOGRAPHS

Example implementations relate to multiple payload pantograph. Some examples may include a first pattern generation engine to generate a first pattern. The first pattern may be a data-bearing pattern encoding a first payload. Additionally, some examples may include a second pattern generation engine to generate a second pattern, the second pattern (by itself or in combination with the first pattern) may represent a second payload. The second payload may be camouflaged by a combination of the first pattern and the second pattern. Some examples may also include a pantograph generation engine to generate a multiple payload pantograph including the first pattern and the second pattern. The multiple payload pantograph may include the first pattern in one of the pantograph background or the pantograph foreground.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DIGITAL WATERMARKING

The disclosed systems, structures, and methods are directed to a digital watermarking system comprising: a data separator configured to receive a digital data file and segregate the digital data file into a message component and a data component, in which the message component includes a message, and the data component includes a data file; a message pipeline configured to process the message; a data pipeline configured to process the data file; a watermark pipeline configured to embed the processed message file onto the processed data file; and an inverse process pipeline configured to inverse the process applied by the data pipeline while processing the data file and generate a watermarked data file.

The present invention relates to a method and product resulting from application distortion security images in an anti-copy document, printed on demand, which may be variable and use laser printers or printer/copiers and/or ink-jet printers and/or digital presses.

Image processing apparatus, method, and program product for embedding corresponding information in an area overlapping a recognized object

An object of the present disclosure is to reduce the load of a user in a case where multiplexed information is embedded in an image. One embodiment of the present invention is an image processing apparatus having: a recognition unit configured to recognize an object within an image; a selection unit configured to select additional information corresponding to an object recognized by the recognition unit from among additional information stored in a storage unit; and a layout unit configured to lay out the additional information so that at least a part of an area in which additional information selected by the selection unit is embedded overlaps an area of an object recognized by the recognition unit.

Watermarks for text content

Improved watermarking techniques for text content are disclosed. An example methodology implementing the techniques includes selecting a sequence of text characters to form a watermark and representing at least one text character of the sequence of text characters by a code which, when inserted into text content, does not affect the appearance of the text content. The methodology also includes embedding the code which represents the at least one text character of the watermark into text content so that the code enables identification of the at least one text character upon extraction of the code from the text content.
