Image inspection apparatus and misalignment measurement method
11700341 · 2023-07-11 · ·

An image inspection apparatus includes a first reader and a second reader that acquire read images by respectively reading one side and the other side of a sheet having an image printed thereon, a first background material and a second background material provided at positions as the backgrounds of the sheet in reading by the first reader and the second reader respectively, and a hardware processor that acquires sheet outline information from the read images and measures misalignment of the image with respect to the sheet based on the acquired sheet outline information. The hardware processor acquires read images with the first background material and the second background material having different densities, and acquires sheet outline information of one read image by estimating the sheet outline information of the one read image based on sheet outline information of the other of the read images.

IMAGE OUTPUT DEVICE, IMAGE OUTPUT SYSTEM, AND IMAGE OUTPUTTING METHOD

An image output device, includes a controller and an image outputter. The controller, when a specific area that matches a specific condition is present in a first image, stores, in a storing area, information that is based on the specific area, generates an identification code that includes access information for accessing the stored information that is based on the specific area, and outputs a second image where the specific area of the first image is replaced with an image that includes the identification code.

Frequency and spatial domain image processing method for image marking and mark detection, apparatus, and storage medium

This application relates to an image processing method and apparatus, a storage medium, and a computer device. The method includes: obtaining a frequency domain mark image, the frequency domain mark image being obtained by performing frequency domain transformation on a spatial domain mark image; obtaining a transparency parameter configured corresponding to the frequency domain mark image; obtaining target page data; and performing layer superimposition rendering of the frequency domain mark image and the target page data according to the transparency parameter. The solution provided in this application can effectively protect target page data.

DATA HIDING FOR SPOT COLORS ON SUBSTRATES

The present disclosure relates generally to data hiding for retail product packaging and other printed objects such as substrates. One embodiment embeds an information signal in a spot color for printing on various substrates. The spot color is screened, and overprinted with process color tint. The tint is modulated prior to overprinting with optimized signal tweaks. The optimization can include consideration of a detector spectral dependency (e.g., red and/or green illumination). Many other embodiments and combinations are described in the subject patent document.

Systems and methods for rendering a secure document with a text selection capability. The methods comprise, by a processor creating a graphic that includes at least one non-text object of a source document and a watermark, adding the graphic onto a base document, and creating a secure document by adding one or more text objects from the source document onto the base document, the secured document configured to enable text selection of the one or more of the added text objects. The secure document includes a file format that is different than that of the source document.

Method for identifying print control elements for quality data acquisition
09848093 · 2017-12-19 · ·

A method for identifying print control elements for quality data acquisition includes encoding position information in a human-readable identification code, encoding specific print job information and the human-readable identification code in a machine-readable data code, positioning the codes alongside their associated print control element on a printing substrate, photographing the printed print control element and adjacent machine-readable data code using information from adjacent identification code, and processing data with a mobile communication device having a camera function and communications interface. Image data produced are exporting to a support computer via the communications interface. Machine-readable data code are decoded, image data on the computer are analyzed using information obtained from decoded machine-readable data code, the results of analysis are transmitted from the computer to the mobile communication device, and erroneous settings, found by image analysis, in a printing press producing printed products, are corrected.

Copy system, copy method, reading apparatus, and image recording apparatus for image recording using particular code
09843699 · 2017-12-12 · ·

In a copy system includes an image recording apparatus and a reading apparatus. A controller of the image recording apparatus performs: controlling a recording device to record a particular code indicating communication information identifying a communication device of the image recording apparatus; receiving image data; and controlling the recording device to record at least one image based on the received image data. A controller of the reading apparatus performs: controlling a reading device to read at least one document to create image data; and analyzing the created image data and determining whether the created image data contains the particular code on a page-by-page basis. When determining that the created image data contains the particular code. The controller of the reading apparatus performs: obtaining the communication information indicated by the particular code; and transmitting a portion of the created image data to a destination identified by the communication information.

Conveyance of hidden image data between output panel and digital camera
09832338 · 2017-11-28 · ·

One or more system, apparatus, method, and computer readable media is described below for conveyance of hidden image data between a display and a camera. In some embodiments, modulating a display pixel refresh rate a predetermined amount relative to a target camera frame rate conveys hidden image data. In further embodiments, a camera module is employed to detect one or more changes in state and/or logic level associated with the pixel refresh rate modulation. The logic levels are then decoded to deduce the hidden image data. In some embodiments, a visually perceptible representation of the hidden image data is then output to a output panel. For example, in one exemplary embodiment the hidden image data includes a pixel value indicative of a color that is to be output to one or more pixel of a camera viewer.
