A plurality of electronic documents utilized in a transaction are automatically managed. For each separate document of the plurality, a custom printer driver receives instructions to a printer for printing the document. Instead of printing the document, the custom printer driver creates a file in a standard format such as PDF containing the document, based on the received print instructions. Content concerning the transaction is automatically added to at least one corresponding field of the file containing the document in the standard format. At least one electronic signature for the document is received, and automatically added to at least one corresponding location of the document in the standard format. The file containing the document in the standard format is saved with the added content concerning the transaction and the at least one electronic signature, and the saved file is associated with the transaction.

Methods and system are described for special processing of fax transmissions. In one embodiment, an electronic device receives a first searchable electronic document and a fax telephone number. The device determines that the document is to be transmitted as an electronic message based on the number. The device generates a second searchable electronic document from the first document. The device adds an electronic signature to the second document that includes at least one of a timestamp of when the first document was received, a number of pages of the second document, and source device information. The device transmits the electronic message that includes the second document to a destination address according to the number. Other embodiments are also described and claimed.

An imaging device includes: an imaging unit configured to image a subject and generate image data; a display configured to display information including an image corresponding to the image data; a first recording slot mounting a first recording medium for recording the image data; a second recording slot mounting a second recording medium for recording the image data; a recording controller configured to set a recording mode between: an automatic switching mode in which recording of the image data is performed by repeatedly switching between the first and the second recording media in a predetermined order; and a simultaneous recording mode in which recording of the image data to the first and the second recording media is simultaneously performed; and a display controller configured to display setting mode information relating to the recording mode set by the recording controller in a different display mode for each recording mode.

An image sensor system with an image sensor that generates a first image and a second image. The first and second images are transmitted to a processor in a time overlapping manner. By way of example, the images may be transferred to the processor in an interleaving manner or provided on separate dedicated busses.

An image processing apparatus includes a processor having a plurality of cores, each having different specifications. The image processing apparatus further includes a first estimator that estimates a processing capability of each of the plurality of cores, a second estimator that estimates, based on the processing capability of each of the plurality of cores, a required time for each of the plurality of cores to perform a specific process, and a controller. The plurality of cores comprises one or more candidate cores. The required time for each of the one or more candidate cores is equal to or less than a threshold. The controller controls one of the one or more candidate cores to perform the specific process. The required time of the candidate core that performs the specific process is the longest among the one or more candidate cores.

An image forming apparatus includes a control device, acting as a controller that analyzes a source image acquired through a reading operation by the document reading device, detects a response input field included in the source image and a question item corresponding to the response input field, on a basis of predetermined format information, extracts a character string representing the response written in the response input field, and additionally writes the extracted character string, in the character string file already stored in the character string file storage device and designated by the user through the operation device, in association with the character string representing the question item, recorded in the character string file.

An information processing apparatus for transmitting image data input by sequentially reading documents, with limiting an allowable frame size, includes: a transmission controller, wherein, in a case where the document has an irregular size, the transmission controller transmits the image data to a transmission destination in a preset frame of a first frame size until a rear edge of the document is detected, and if a portion, which is not transmitted, of the image data exists when the rear edge of the document is detected, transmits the portion to the transmission destination in a frame of a second frame size smaller than the first frame size so that the transmitting of the portion is finished before a start of transmission of image data corresponding to a next document.

An example image forming device includes a scanner to scan a form document to generate a document image, and a processor to generate information data by converting written information with respect to at least one fill-out item of the form document into image data that can be written in the document image, and generate final document image data by combining the information data with document image data based on the document image.
