A method of automatically creating trust communities in a fleet of devices. The method includes finding candidate devices in a fleet of devices via one or more candidate discovery techniques and generating device-related data based on the candidate devices that are found, analyzing the device-related data via an analytics engine and creating one or more fleet orchestrator device lists based on the analysis of the device-related data, and automatically creating one or more new trust communities or suggesting joining one or more previously existing trust communities based at least on the one or more fleet orchestrator device lists for the candidate devices, wherein the one or more new trust communities or previously existing trust communities include at least a sub-set of the devices in the fleet, and wherein at least one of the managed devices in the sub-set of devices is configured as a root device to publish files via a file sharing function.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable program instructions executable by a processor of a relay device communicable with a terminal management device and one or more terminal devices. The program instructions are configured to, when executed by the processor, cause the relay device to perform unicast communication with each terminal device, thereby obtaining at least one of a device name and a vendor name of each terminal device as determination information, determine, based on the determination information, whether each terminal device is a supported terminal device to be managed by the terminal management device, and perform unicast communication with one or more individual terminal devices each determined to be the supported terminal device, thereby obtaining terminal information from each supported terminal device, the terminal information regarding each supported terminal device being collected by the terminal management device via the relay device.

An information processing apparatus comprises a determination unit configured to determine whether or not an instruction for printing based on a print job is given by a remote operation, and a decision unit configured to decide one of apparatuses belonging to a local network, to which the information processing apparatus belongs, as a storage destination of the print job in accordance with a result of the determination by the determination unit.

A non-transitory storage medium stores a program set readable by a computer of a first information processing apparatus. The program set including a first program and a second program. The first program causes the first information processing apparatus to start the second program, and register the started second program, as a virtual scanner, in an operating system of the first information processing apparatus. The second program causes the first information processing apparatus to transmit a scan command of the first protocol to the external scanner, and receive a read result from the external scanner by the first protocol through the communication interface. The external scanner reads a document in response to receipt of the scan command transmitted from the information processing apparatus.

An image reading apparatus includes an imaging device, a first communication device capable of communicating at a first communication speed according to a first communication protocol, a second communication device capable of communicating at a second communication speed lower than the first communication speed according to a second communication protocol different from the first communication protocol, a first processor to separately transmit a first image acquired by imaging a first surface of a medium by the imaging device, and a second image acquired by imaging a second surface of the medium by the imaging device, via the first communication device, and a second processor to transmit a combined image acquired by combining the first image and the second image via the second communication device.

A camera has two or more color elements that are removable and replaceable. The color elements may include a lens, a color filter with a filter data interface, and an image sensor. A security processor includes a private key, firmware, and has storage room for one or more vegetation indices. The security processor securely decrypts, stores, and uses the indices. Firmware checks license terms and installed filters required in a selected index, and analyzes images based on a formula in the index, thresholds for the index value, and thresholds for an object's height above ground level. A positioning receiver (e.g. GPS) determines time and position, which the firmware uses for the license check and for the height AGL calculation. Differences in camera position allow determining a parallax calculation on correlated groups of pixels. The camera provides on-the-fly analysis, and tags and stores images for which alert conditions are met.

A document processing system includes a controller for controlling at least one part of the document processing system, a user interface for allowing a user to interact with the document processing system, and a mobile device capable of communicating with the controller in the document processing system via a wireless link. A locating function is provided for locating the mobile device. An image forming system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses, a print request receiving portion, a dividing portion, and a print job transmitting portion. The print request receiving portion receives a print request for a print object. The dividing portion, when a total number of pages to be printed is equal to or greater than a preset smallest number of pages, divides the print object into a plurality of page groups. The print job transmitting portion generates a plurality of divided print jobs that respectively correspond to the plurality of page groups divided by the dividing portion, and transmits the plurality of divided print jobs to the plurality of image forming apparatuses, respectively.
