When a preset restart target error has occurred, the control portion executes the restart process in a state where a network port used for communication with the external device is disabled.

An inspection apparatus includes at least one memory that stores instructions, and at least one processor that executes the instructions to provide a screen to display an image on which a plurality of pages is imposed and to receive a layout of an inspection area on one of the plurality of pages imposed on the displayed image based on a user instruction, and replicate the inspection area set on the one page at corresponding positions on the other pages imposed on the displayed image.

An image forming device according to an embodiment includes an image display device, a sensor, a first unit, a second unit, a control unit, and a storage unit. The sensor acquires information on a phenomenon that occurs in association with occurrence of an abnormality in the own device. The first unit includes a plurality of components and performs a part of image forming processing. The second unit includes a plurality of components and performs processing that is a part of the image forming processing and is different from the processing performed by the first unit. The control unit causes the first and second units to operate at different timings and performs display for causing a user to instruct a timing at which the abnormality occurs on the image display device. The storage unit records, as abnormality information, the information acquired by the sensor and an instruction of the user.

A print system determines whether a setting of a print job meets a condition under which an inspection can be executed, sets information indicating the inspection instruction in a detail of the print job when it is determined that the setting of the print job meets the condition, and executes inspection processing on the basis of a scanned image and a reference image registered in advance according to the inspection instruction. In addition, notification information is output. The inspection processing is not executed when it has been determined that the setting of the print job does not meet the condition, and notification information is outputted indicating that the inspection processing has not been executed.

A control device includes an execution control unit that performs control to execute specific processing based on information posted by a user in a talk room in which each of plural participating users is able to post and view information, in which the execution control unit provides notification regarding execution of the specific processing to only some of the plural users according to predetermined conditions.

An image forming apparatus includes a CPU. When an error occurs, the CPU notifies a user or the like of the error and adds information about the error to an error table. When the error is resolved, the CPU deletes the information about the resolved error from the error table. The CPU refers to the error table and displays, on a display, a home screen in which a badge indicating the number of unresolved errors in each operation mode is displayed. When a mode selection button on which the badge is displayed is touched, the CPU re-notifies the user of the unresolved errors.
