The storage processing part (27) stores the print data in the storage part (21) in association with user information of a user terminal (23) when the first storage condition and the second storage condition are satisfied, and communicates with the user terminal (23) and stores the print data in the user terminal (23) when the first storage condition is not satisfied or when the second storage condition is not satisfied.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire a processing request that includes a document; request an external server to perform a process included in the acquired processing request, the external server being connectable from the information processing apparatus and being responsible for performing the process; and transmit second information to an apparatus communicable with the information processing apparatus, the second information including first information to be used for acquiring a processed document serving as the document processed by the external server.

An information processing apparatus includes a print management unit configured to allocate a plurality of print data sets to a plurality of image forming apparatuses, respectively, the plurality of print data sets being obtained by dividing one print data set; a separator data generation unit configured to generate, for each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, print data for a separator, the print data for the separator including management information that includes information regarding a particular print data set among the plurality of print data sets and information regarding a particular image forming apparatus among the plurality of image forming apparatuses to which the particular print data set is allocated; and an output unit configured to output, for each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses, the particular print data set and the print data for the separator to the particular image forming apparatus.

The controller is configured to perform a service provision process for providing a service utilizing a printing device. The controller is configured to perform the service provision process using individual information of the printing device and contract identification information associated with both the individual information and service information related to provision of the service. The service provision process includes: (a) registering a user in association with contract identification information associated with individual information of a first printing device; and (b) when the first printing device is replaced with a second printing device and the provision of the service is continued utilizing the second printing device, associating individual information of the second printing device with the contract identification information associated with the user registered in the (a) registering.

An image forming apparatus includes: a generation unit configured to generate image data based on a print job; a determination unit configured to determine whether image data corresponding to a sheet passing a predetermined location of a conveyance path through which sheets are conveyed is prepared in time; and a control unit configured to perform, in the case where the determination unit determines that image data is not prepared in time, control to leave the sheet as a blank sheet by skipping processing to form an image for the sheet, and the control unit changes a printing order determined in advance in the case where the determination unit determines that image data is not prepared in time.

A distributed computing system for managing solutions for print device support requests includes a print device having a user interface, a solution data store, and a solution processing system in communication with the print device. The system receives a support request from the print device that includes print device data pertaining to an issue with the print device. The system uses the print device data to generate a search query, and queries the solution data store to identify a list of possible solutions for the support request. For each selection, the system receives, from the print device, an indication of an exit status for the support request. The system correlates the possible solution associated with the selection with the print device data, generates factors based on the correlation, and uses the generated factors to update fields of a solution index in the data store for the possible solution.

A file processing system includes an information processing apparatus, a terminal apparatus that has a process instructing function for directly transmitting a file to be processed to the information processing apparatus and executing a process, by a user, and a server that is connected to the terminal apparatus and the information processing apparatus through a network, in which the terminal apparatus includes a file transmitting unit that transmits a file to the server, in a case where the process instructing function is not capable of being used due to a failure of communication with the information processing apparatuses, and the file processing system further includes a transfer control unit that controls transfer of the file transmitted to the server, to the information processing apparatus, and the information processing apparatus includes a process control unit that controls a process of the file acquired from the terminal apparatus through the server, in a case where the process instructing function is not capable of being used due to the failure of communication with the information processing apparatuses.
