Representing blocks with hash values in video and image coding and decoding
Innovations in hash-based block matching facilitate block copy (“BC”) prediction that is more effective in terms of rate-distortion performance and/or computational efficiency of encoding. For example, some of the innovations relate to encoding blocks with hash values determined using hash-based block matching. Other innovations relate to reconstructing blocks using hash values determined with hash-based block matching.
Encryption of Cloud-Based Data
A method of allowing collaboration on an encrypted document stored in a cloud computing network, the encrypted document associated with a first user having a first user account in the cloud computing network, the method comprising: in response to a request from the first user to share the encrypted document, sending a link to a public network destination to a second user address of a second user; receiving a request via the link from an unconfirmed user to access the data in the encrypted document; requesting of the unconfirmed user to login to a second user account on the cloud computing network; authenticating the identity of the unconfirmed user as the second user; upon authenticating the identity of the unconfirmed user as the second user, decrypting the encrypted document to generate a decrypted document; storing the decrypted document in the first user account; granting the second user access to the decrypted file simultaneously to access granted to the first user; subsequent to the first user or the second user editing the decrypted document, encrypting an edited version of the decrypted document; and storing the edited version of the encrypted document in the first user account.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR GENERATING SECURE VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS
In methods and systems for generating secure verification documents are disclosed, a processor that is associated with a multifunction print device will receive one or more source electronic document files, each of which includes content of one or more source documents, each associated with a unique content creator. The processor will cause a print engine of a multifunction device to print a plurality of verification document sheets, each of which comprises data from at least one of the source documents and includes a unique identifier (ID). After printing each verification document sheet, the processor will cause a scanner of the multifunction device to scan the verification document sheet to capture a digital image of the verification document sheet. The processor will then save the digital images of the verification document sheets to a data store.
