Systems and methods are disclosed for non-linear color correction. The method including receiving an input image from an image sensor, converting the input image from a red, green, blue (RGB) color space format to an alternate color space format, determining localized hue correction parameters for a selected color in the alternate color space, determining localized saturation correction parameters for a selected hue in the alternate color space, applying the localized hue correction parameters and the localized saturation correction parameters to the input image to generate an output image and storing, displaying, or transmitting the output image based on at least the localized hue correction parameters and the localized saturation correction parameters.

An image processing device disclosed in the present specification includes a display control unit configured to display, on a display unit, an image obtained by visualizing functional information related to optical characteristics of a subject based on a photoacoustic signal obtained by receiving a photoacoustic wave generated in the subject by irradiating the subject with light, and a correction unit configured to correct the functional information of the image displayed on the display unit based on a first image value of the functional information of the image displayed on the display unit and a second image value of the functional information.

An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: receive an image; and in response to inputting a magenta component resulting from CMYK conversion of the received image, output the image having undergone color conversion performed by using a profile in which at least one of the magenta component and a pink component that leads to fluorescent color forming is output, in which in an area having an input magenta amount lower than a predetermined threshold, the magenta component is not output and only the pink component is output, the input magenta amount serving as an amount of the magenta component resulting from the CMYK conversion, and in which in an area having the input magenta amount higher than or equal to the threshold, the magenta component and the pink component are output.

A method monitors a color standard for a machine for processing printing material. The color standard results from various parameters of the printing operation and correspondingly associated set points. The color standard may be modified and individually adapted to every machine. The machine is equipped such that current values of the parameters of the color standard are measured and forwarded to a computer. The computer compares these values and predefined set points of the color standard, and based on this information, makes an assessment of the color and quality level achieved in the printing operation. The computer outputs control signals based on the monitoring. The control signals influence the machine control and/or the determining of the current values of the parameters of the color standard in a feedback loop. The color standard is modifiable by the operator by a different selection and weighting of the parameters and the set points.

An estimated image data calculator is configured to calculate, as estimated image data, for each of image data of respective colors outputted from an imaging element, on the basis of a pixel value of a first pixel on one of two lines adjacent to each other in the image data, and a pixel value of a second pixel on the other of the two lines and adjacent to the first pixel, image data of a non-reading region between a reading region in a document corresponding to the one of the two lines and a reading region in the document corresponding to the other of the two lines.
